I am wondering, what makes a non-landed club thrive, what sets the best ones apart from those that are doing just ok if not less.

Anyone has experience with/member off a non-landed club who wishes to comment on this? Anyone recommend a non-land club to check out (location doesn't matter, I am just doing a survey)?

Tried to seatch the archive but it did not give too many results that were useful.

Hi Naturist4Ever,

I belong to Northcoast Naturists in the NE Ohio, USA area. The club thrives based on the social schedule each month. We have indoor swims in the winter, wine tastiings, theme parties, and some other functions most months. During the summer, they schedule trips to local and distant clubs, weekly volleyball at the local club, and picnics, and pig roasts.

The key in my book is to offer many activities that will appeal to a large number. We seem to have a good formula.

Member participation and involvement.

The best clubs have plenty of members always volunteering to oraganize things and plenty of new fresh ideas to keep things fun and interesting.

Also I think it helps to keep things simple and keep the atmosphere friendly and laid back. Monthly meetings and potluck dinners at members homes and then a little time to socialize ant then plan the next outing.

I'm a member of three non-landeds.

I guess activities and the people who belong.

This is a successful Non Landed club that’s within the same city as California’s largest clothing free Resort http://www.lagunadelsol.com near Sacramento, CA

I find that a non landed club supplements a landed resort especially in the off season, they schedule indoor nudist meets at scuba dive centers, have pot lucks, and have members private house, pool and hot tub get together, and often meet at landed resort clubs in the area, and frequent the several river nudist facilities and beaches, and even have textile get together at pizza, bowling, and restaurants. They are also very reasonable like $10 per year if you’re a TNS or AANR member.

I think a non-landed club would be fun to have. I, however, live in an apartment and do not have the facilities to promote nudist gatherings. How does one start a non-landed club? Anybody have any ideas? Anybody in North Florida who would like to start one?
Just curious.

It's interesting that you should ask that.. I am actually in the process of starting a non-landed club here in Florida as we speak. Please visit the club website. It's under construction but I have the intro page and messageboard up:

Thanks PascoDoug! I did look at all those sites. First one is in DC, I am in Richmond. Bare Buns.... well, no comment. I did send an e-mail to a gentleman in Leesburg but agaun, am in the Richmond area. Seems Richmond is lacking in sooooo much. Not a decent radio station, local TV plays car ads every 3 minutes for the same car dealer.... sheesh! Sure does get old!

Thanks. Maybe I will start a non-landed group here !
