Hey, I don't think I've seen the naked news in the links section. What's the deal?

Well, when they first started they refused to consider trading links. Plus we noticed their show is a strip tease. Not very naturist. Also, INA was given an official cease and desist notice from the Naked News lawyers for being too much like them. They trade marked the term "Naked News" and they say "Nudes in the News" is too close and confusing. I don't think so, we report nudist news, they report the real news and never talk about nudists at all. Plus, we were using the term "Nudes in the News" since 1999, they started in 2001. We will hold our ground and will not cease and desist our show.

Hmm, I thought it would probably be some legal thing. Sad really.

I can understand both sides. You have to be very aggressive about protecting your trademark or you lose your exclusive rights. That usually means filing a few suits you don't think you'll win.

Corky, I agree with you in that you report "nudes", whereas the other people, "Naked News", report everyday events, only it is more of a strip show than anything else. Not knocking them, but I don't see where you are anywhere near copy right infringement. As you stated, you (INA) have been reporting since 1999, so if there is any infringments, it would be them infringing on your copyrights. Plus, I believe your membership is far more larger than theirs. I have seen their broadcast and I don't really care for it either. I don't care to hear about everyday news from strippers. You on the other hand, report other nude events from all angles, while nude. I don't think you have anything to worry about. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif
