I got kicked off gardenweb forums for mentioning a couple of times about gardening nude. Someone objected. The Hitler (was a person named Spike) put in the programming to send me to Disney.com every time I tried to post again.

More recently, I'm kinda astracized in GardenCountry for talking about gardening naturally. Some objected to my signature saying, "The naked gardener; God's original intent." Had to change it to The natural gardener.

Anyone else have these experiences?

My wife uses the name nudekiwi on various game sites. She gets a lot of questions about naturism but no complaints as yet.I cant believe people can be so narrowminded and petty as those that complained about you.Why dont they get a life.

On my Jeep club's website, I put up an event, National Nudist Day with an invite for anyone to come out to the Forty Acre Club (I'm not a member of Forty Acre club, but know I can visit, etc). There was a big debate over whether this event was a 'family oriented event' or not. Of course WE know it was (Forty Acres is a family nudist club) but there were some that didn't like a nudist event coming up in our Jeep clubs list of events.

It was debated hotly for quite awhile.. but since I'm one of the founding club members (and was VP the first 3 years of the club) people respected me enough to not just 'pile on me'. Well, some did of course, but I weathered the storm. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif The webmaster also knew me well enough and had also some relatives that were family nudists and knew that indeed nudist events can be family oriented events..

It changed policy in that only sanctioned club events would make it on the front page, which I didn't really have a problem with.. But obviously everyone in my Jeep club knows I'm a nudist. It's sort of the going joke about my nudist interests although I've found many that are OK with it.

We've tried to plan having a nudist four-wheeling even out at my house, but it simply hasn't happened yet, but I'm going to be sure to plan something this next summer.. and everyone here would be invited. Of course we'll tell ya you should buy a Jeep but you dont have to own a Jeep to be a part of the nude wheeling event here... /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I also have no desire to communicate with non-nudists online unless it's a non-nudist Christian Website.

I use my yahoo id (wannabenaked2001) for non nudist groups, and I have also used it on e-bay.

Last time on e-bay, after winning the auction, I called the seller for payment and shipping. He asked are you...??? (paused)
I interupted and said "Wannabenaked2001".
He paused again and then said "I wish I was." /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Greetings,

My Yahoo screen name is nudelion and I belong to several scout patch collecting clubs on Yahoo and have had only one person raise a question. But I will admit that I have taken the time to setup my account so that when I send an email it comes up as LeoNJ so the only way the person will see my Yahoo ID is when they go to look at my email address. As mentioned I did have had one person question me about my address and I simply informed him that what I do privately is my business so long as it is legal. Also being a Cub Scout Leader I do have to be very careful of myself. Just a note I note I do not discuss my activity when on a scouting event. I did though give this address to a former leader and he nearly fell over but said he would keep it to himself. All in all my Yahoo account is my cloak address that I use to correspond with people that I do not really want them to know who I really am.

Just because I enjoy being nude there is no reason to flaunt it.

Nudelion, it is very interesting that you are a scout leader. I am an Eagle Scout and though I haven't been involved with the scouts for some years now, it was on campouts back in the day that some fellow scouts and I experimented with naturism, as well as some of the leaders. We never really called it Naturism or Nudism, but we often had nude swims, and nudity was always allowed on hikes or in campsites. Anyways, I was just very pleased to hear that other scouters had similar interests!

I just joined the Figure Drawing Factory..Yahoo Group...using my same Outdoorbare screen name...The only issue mentioned was the name was too long...I guess (in this case) size did matter... /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Odb

I have mentioned it on one other forum in response to a question. People were discussing how many people had been to a nudist beach or other venue. I would say the majority had at some time or another, although there were few regular visitors. One guy mentioned that he likes swimming naked in his pool at home, and sunbaking, when his parents are away.

I do not mention this on non-nudist sites either. It is not out of embarrassment at all, but for the same reason some of us here have mentioned, there are far too many judges and close minded fools among us who help keep society down on our beliefs.

As I say all the time, one day America will grow up like so many of the other countries in the world.

I usually use "Au Natural" or some variant for my screen name. Doesn't leave much to the imagination Usually only a matter of time before I start getting refered to as "nature boy" or somesuch. usually there is no hostility and if there are those who don't like it, they can just lump it.

Can't imagine not being a naturist on line. Too easy to create dummy e-mail accounts and use other techniques to stay annonymous.

Ralph

Ralph,
Think of it this way....While I am sure that the nudity issue was enough to garner complaints from many of the prudes on that site, the topic that you were forcing on them as "off-topic", and may have appeared exhibitionist. Not saying that it was, but to them, it probably appeared that way. Just as a PTA meeting may not be the best place to discuss "the benefits of nude home schooling", perhaps the same applied to the gardening group.
For example, pornography has no place in a family nudist forum, however, may be perfectly appropriate in an adult controlled site. There are many examples I can think of, but basically, as in any social interaction, in order to effectivly interact, you have to fit your behaviour for the situation.
