What is one thing you would change about your life if you could go back in time?

Can't say I can answer that. As I have grown over the years, I have realized that even from my worst mistakes I have learned about myself and Life.
If I changed anything about my Life, I wouldn't be who I am today, now would I???
It's always easier to second-guess the decisions we made than to see what would have happened if we had made another choice.

The past is only for memories, you can't change it, the future is for changing and that's not necessarily for the better either. Having said that I'd like to have become a naturist earlier, years ago when I was in my 20's instead of my 60's. Ah well, just enjoy what you have!

i rarely look back at where i've been unless it was a good experience! i think no further than the next twenty four hrs. and make no plans! i'm a spur of the mement kind a guy! really can't answer this one!
There are too many things to choose from; it would be easier to say what I WOULDN'T change. I would still want to be a Christian and a nudist. Everything else I would want to change.

Dear Jon-Marc.
Same with me.

I might have considered being less of the wild child in college, but then I would not be a dad of sons the age I have now. I
I tend to reflect on my day's activities, and make the changes early instead of years later, so I tend to have an even course. As others have said, the past can not be changed, but the future can!

Although I am extremely happy with my life, I would change one thing. If I could have gained wisdom at an earlier age, I would have. Sorta like "if I only knew then what I know now ...."

The British author, Olaf Stapledon, once wrote "Now that I have gained some wisdom I find I have one foot in the grave."

OK , OK I will bite - I would have liked to have become a NUDIST from when I was a youth and to have brought my children up as nudists.

even though I am only 14, I would take more care of my eyes. I have to wear glasses. That is the only thing I can think of to change. And being nicer to my sis.
Brian put it best that if things were different, I wouldn't be who I am today.
However, while I'm confident in some aspects of my life, I lack confidence in others. But of the most debilitating things I would go back to change, it would be my fear of flying. I might have to fly next year, and I'm already getting worked up about it.

As many have said, anything that you might change would have a snowball effect and change other things that you might not want changed. Even a bad experience hopefully was a learning experience towards that elusive "wisdom". Given the opportunity, because a genie came out of a lamp and asked, I probably would not take the chance.
Probably the one type of thing that I would consider changing are small events where I had an opportunity to help someone and didn't, or to not say something that I later regretted that hurt someones feelings.

The only thing that I would like to change is...I would do better in school when I was younger. Although I have redeemed myself with a bachelors degree, a nice academic scholarship of some sort would have helped alot though.

There is much life ahead of me yet, will have to wait until the end to look back to pick out the best thing to change and then make an adjustment for the next life. But who knows what comes next !!!
