England is certainly secular compared to the US, but organized religion remains a stronger influence than in the Scandinavian countries. Now THOSE are secular countries.

Yes, Scandinavian countries are surely the most secular countries in the West, but religious practice is quite low in England. I even heard in the news that there were more people in England practicing islam than thoses practicing christianity (going to church regularly). When you condider that the total of muslims in England is less than 5% and that many of them are not practicing, it gives you an idea of the percentage of practicing christians in England.
