It's okay that you posted these questions here. We've been to Desert Shadows numerous times and still visit for the day, overnight, weekends and longer from time to time throughout the year.

In the summer, Palm Springs can get pretty warm...over 100 degrees....periodically, over 110 and warmer. We will undoubtedly go there several times during the summer.

What to expect at Desert Shadows; beautifully, maintained grounds, lots of people of all ages, shapes, sizes, maybe some kids from time to time. The resort has a full restaurant and bar, three pools, a full service spa, two hot tubs, lots of different accomodations types to choose from. During the summer months there are lots of events and functions, there is a tennis court but don't think too many use it during the warmest parts of the day.

We have a great time each time we do and I'm sure you will too.

Any other specific questions?

We have been to Desert Shadows, and I agree with everything FireProf said. I'd like to add, that we prefer Palm Springs in the summer as the nights are warm and outdoor nudity is very comfortable after dark. In the winter, the desert can be very chilly at night.

Hubby and I are driving down there in 10 days!!! We can't wait for some warmth and naked recreation and relaxation. I'll be sure to post our report when we get back.

Worth mentioning is that there is a gym there
which has been redone and is quite impressive (nude workouts are a favorite of mine) THere's also a good tennis court and lively volleyball matches. One pool is for adults only - the other two allow children. The food is quite good. This is a GREAT place. Very social. Since many people are staying in condos they may invite you over for a cocktail party etc. Again - fantastic place!

It's a nice place but be careful with your credit card there. They helped themselves to mine a while back. If you're making a reservation by phone just be sure not to give them your number until you are satisfied with what you are getting.
