Does anyone know where a new nudist and new member can go to be outdoors in the Saint Petersburg, Fl. area in order to be nude without being arrested? I know there is no nude beaches, but where does everyone go? Bye...Nude is NOT Lewd.

There are no legal beaches in this entire area. There are half a dozen nudist resorts just north of you. If you want legal, go to a resort or stay in your back yard. There is a list of them at www.fanr.com (http://www.fanr.com) . If you want beach, head for Playalinda on the east coast.

I go to Paradise Lakes, Lake Como and Caliente and then there is Riverboat, Island Group and Gulf Coast Resort.

I don't think TAN will get very far because you aren't pushing the issue enough. You should be out on the beach holding political rallies. Being nice and going by the book isn't going to get you anywhere. Has the parks service even talked with TAN about an alternative beach yet? If they don't feel your heat they aren't going to do anything for us at all. That is why I haven't joined TAN.

Hey I have a question for you.... if your name is Keith how come your picture has female breasts? Am I missing something?

Other than Navarre Beach on the panhandle, the only place that I know of on the Florida Gulf coast where skinny dipping goes on is at North Captiva Island. Sanibel Naturists (http://www.sanibelnaturists.com/) , a non-landed travel club goes there fairly often. It is not an officially designated nude beach, but a spot where a lot of skinny dipping has occured for a long time. Who knows, sometimes a long-standing precedent of nude bathing helps build a strong case when petitioning for official designation.

is there a way to park a car within a long walking distance to this area of captiva? it seems that there is no parking on captiva. we stay on sanibel every year, but when we do venture to captiva (by car) it seems that we can never get to the beach. captiva seems to be privately held and the people want to keep it that way...

So why did you choose a picture of a woman and why weren't you at the TAN meeting?

I have friends that have gotten tickets for being nude there.

I just happen to like women also. So we have alot more in common than just Nudity, and TAN. I have an open mind about things, as long as you enjoy yourself why not. I have some questions but they can wait for a later date..I had to work on Saturdays and Sundays, so I could not make the meetings..Sorry. Will try to be at the next one.
