The subhead in the "Working" section of the Orlando Sentinel today poses the question "Working in the Buff? and answers, "Join the Crowd".
from the article: "In survey of nearly 1000 US workers that focused on flexible work schedules, respondents were asked by the network-security company SonicWALL what they wear when working from home. Twelve percent of the men and 7 percent of the women replied: NOTHING."
No wonder there has been such a rise of home based businesses!

I'm going out on a limb here and say that I think the percentages are higher than that. I think many people are still afraid to even post the truth on a anonymous poll.
Like others, I do all my work here at home naked but have to wear a dreaded uniform at work so there's no chance of "working at work" in the buff for this smoke eater! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif

I agree with FireProf. Numbers are askew. Many won't admit to it or express it that they are working from home nude simply because of the negative feedback they may get as well as some possibility of loosing job share.
Some day that will be a non issue.

No link. It wasn't really an article, just a filler piece with a picture of a woman from just above the breast area up.. giving you the impression she did not have a top on.

I agree, there are more nudists, or those who work at home in the nude, than people think. Closet nudists? Nope, they just don't let people know, for reasons known only to them.
I also would love to work in my trade, nude, but I don't think people would appreciate seeing a naked person on top of a house working on air conditioners. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

This week I've been working at home nearly the whole time, and have hardly been dressed. Nothing beats it for comfort.

Now that I do my work from home, I am nude as much as possible. The family situation does not always allow me to be nude however.

It is frowned upon here to be routinely nude in the house. However, my workshop building is MY domain, so I get nude every time I am out there. In fact, the trousers come off first.
Almost anything I do can be done nude, or nearly so: bench saw, drill press, blasting cabinet, grinders, sanding, even light welding. Of course, beating on things with a hammer, or a bigger hammer.
You didn't ask -- my main task out there is to restore an old car.

I work at home and am always naked. I have a pair of shorts handy for the UPS man and surprise clients. Many of my clients have seen me in only a pair of jogging shorts (no shirt, no shoes) as sometimes they show up unannounced either during or after normal hours. No one has said anything yet.
Interestingly enough, I am going to be having some construction work done, and the contractor has assured me that no one will show up at the house without a phone call to me first (I do not live in a gated community). His phone call policy suggests that he has probably caught people unawares, maybe even naked at home. I think the percentage is higher for naked home offices.
I also have an antique car in the garage and always work naked on it with the big door closed. I like to work with the door open to socialize with the neighbors, but sometimes I would rather work naked and keep the door closed.
