Dear INA,

I love to see how Nudity is applied in movies. I remember an old Christopher Atkins movie about Lifeguards in Australia. It is an 90's movie but had a great message about nudity. I haven't been able to locate it on DVD but I think it is on VHS tape.

Here is the IMDB Link : http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0105801/

It is about an American Lifeguard ( Atkins ) who goes to Australia to be a
Lifeguard down under. Of course there are lots of Nude beaches there and or
topless women at the very least.

The "Best Scene" is when they first show him the beach. He instantly encounters
topless women bathing and walking about. He and two other lifeguards
finally encounter the "Nude Beach" sign marking the nude area. The sign says
something about a $500 fine if you are on the beach wearing a suit. So Atkins
watch as the two other ( Male and Female) lifeguards strip off and wait at the
entrance. He reluctantly drops his bathing suit as they watch and the all enter
the NUDE section and enter. The great thing is that the other lifeguards drop
their clothes with absolutely NO hesitation in order to enter the nude section.
They show it is no big deal and that nobody should be ashamed of their bodies.

I can't wait for the DVD version. Please include this in you Movie Section.

I remember that movie and often will recall it when reading some posts here.

It definately showed nidity in a positive light, but I always wondered about the reaction of the competing team during the race at the end. They lost the race because they were distracted by the lifeguard flashing her breasts at them. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes "Wet and Wild Summer" is one of those great B movies that I think shows nudity in a positive light /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ..

We'd luv to have you all down here for the summer, but remember, life's not always like you see it in the movies.

(What film producer would ever cast Arnie as a State Governor?)

cheers,

Rob
