The 35th Nude Volleyball Superbowl will be held Sep 8-12 at White Thorn Lodge in Darlington, PA. (north of Pittsburgh)

I have attended four Superbowls and had a great time. Due to a family committment, I will not be able to attend the entire weekend this year.

It is a great event with several thousand fellow nudists in attendance - There are mens and womens teams in the competition or you can just be a spectator. Bring your team or join one when you arrive.

Are there ever any Naked Volleyball Superbowls out here in Southern California? I am a huge fan of volleyball. If I don't play it, I love to watch it. Could anyone here please let me know if such an event will take place in the near future?

I have heard so much about the Superbowls and they sound like a blast (although I am not too keen playing on the hard surface.. even a full day of playing indoor on a gym floor that is right over concrete will do a number on your ankles and knees and from what I understand some of the play here is right on concrete or asphalt.)

Won't be going this year as will be at Burning Man this weekend but it is on the agenda for next year.

I will only be able to attend a small time this year. I never heard of this before. I can't make it this year, but will have to make plans to attend next year. I've always enjoyed playing volleyball, like most nudists I guess.

I'll actually be playing volleyball in northern Pennsylvania on the 11th. Even though it won't be the superbowl we will have a picnic with salad bowl and bonfire.

Ken, many years ago, there were 'clothed' volleyball events sponsored by the 'Sundial' club in the Los Angeles area. If the club is still active, you might want to contact them.
Many of the 'landed clubs' have tournaments on special weekends - like the Labor Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day. Often amounts to a full weekend of play and stretches into the late hours on Saturday and Sunday. Interclub play with 1 or 2 teams. Some co-ed teams. Had a few 'all star' teams that put on a good show. Everyone had fun, win or loose!
But, that was maybe 20 years ago. Good fun. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I went to Superbowl @ WTL with frieds in 1999 (Team USA w/Linda, Lee & Shawn in case any of you were there). It was a BLAST!!!! I was supposed to play volleyball, but ended up chilling, drinking beer and chatting with people. My friends didn't mind . . . they came in 2nd in Novice. What a great, great experience!! I met so many great people and had such a good time. An event like this makes you glad to be a nudist. I should also note that the members of WTL are really proud of their club, and that made it even better.
Hope who ever comes this year has as good of a time as I did.

Its always the same time - the week after Labor Day. A couple of years ago they put in a couple of sand courts so you you can play either way.

BTW - let us know how Burning Man is this year. I've always wanted to get out there

Just wondered if you got to go at all this year. I was supposed to be there on Fri and Sat but ended up having to go the Doctor and couldn't make it.

Did anyone on the forum go? The weather looked good from my house
