Has anybody been here before, and how is the lake and fishing?

I can't account for recently, but about 10-12 years ago, I stopped over at Silver Valley Sun Club while on the way back from Arizona. I had planned a 1 night stop over. Upon arrival, I was met by an extremely nice middle age lady (I think was the owner or manager - I remember her husband worked out of town) who spent time to orient me with the facility and guided me in parking my RV as I was by myself and was getting dark. The evening was one I will always remember as everyone was extremely friendly and outgoing. There was a pig roast that night and entertainment and although I didn't know anyone there, they made me feel like family. The following afternoon as I was preparing to leave, the lady came to my campsite and said there was a bad wreck on the freeway and suggested I spend another night until the roadway was clear. I offered to pay for the additional night but she would not hear of it.
As far as the lake and fishing, I can only relate that when I went swimming in it, the bluegill were nipping at my toes and the water was cold.
I hope the management has not changed there as Silver Valley Sun Club was the most friendly naturist club I have ever been to. Traveling as a single male, I often feel like an outcast, but not there. I hope your experience mirrors mine, please give us a trip report when you return. I would like to visit there again. The place was a little "rustic", but the people more than made up for the surroundings!

Well my wife and I just spent a couple of days here this past week and had a very good time. The owners now have a couple that live onsite who manage the place and everyone was very friendly as well. The catfishing in the lake was great fun and the weather on our second day was near perfect. Try staying in one of the retro trailers for the full experience of this very family oriented facility. One of the co-owners did have a couple of meals with us in the dinning clubhouse and we had some great conversation with her. They do have plans for future expansion but I hope they never loose the great down home feel they currently have, and from what you posted about your trip some years ago they haven't...
