Okay even though I may be new here, I have a suggestion you should consider really hard.
I suggest that you merge a lot of the boards together. I was looking over the forums and I noticed that many of the boards have like 20 or 26 posts...quite frankly many people don't want to even check out a board with so few posts, because they suspect if so little is being talked about, why bother going there.
The main nudity board, the young naturists, a board with local, international places and people, and an other nudity board is plenty.
You should not have more than 4 boards, IMO.
Think about it.

I am working all next week on the new upgrade of these forums, I might do that (consolidate the forums). First I want to see what other think. Does anyone else think that is a good idea? Please let me know. Also, any other ideas are welcome. Thanks!

I understand the frustration(?) and request for consolidation, but leaving the forums the way they are let those who are interested in reading or posting in those particular areas do so.
I'm not particularly interested in the religion section so I rarely go into that section but some seem to be so you should leave that one, etc. etc. I think the forums lend themselves to a wide variety of topics for everyone.
If you don't like or want to post in a particular section, ignore the section. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Corky: I'm with Florida-David on this one. Go
ahead and consolidate the boards
We had this discussion some months ago when the boards were consolidated but I agree you could go further. I would suggest:
Nudity Issues (to cover Fun of Nude Recreation, Legal Issues, Nudity and Religion, New Naturists, Miscellaneous). I'd drop the word "recreation" because for a growing nuber of people nudity is not necessarily a recreation but more to do with the rejecting of cultural demands that we wear clothes at all times in public.
I'd keep the remaining boards as they are.
One other thing, for me, living in Europe, it's frustrating that when I log on in the morning (UK time) there are never any posts in the "today's posts" section and I have to trawl through the various boards to see what's been posted while I've been asleep. The software you use seems to be able to identify unread posts (using cookies) so perhaps you could find a way of changing "today's posts" to "unread posts".

I'm another one who relies primarily on the "Today's posts" feature rather than the provided categories. If I'm responding to an existing thread, I'm often not aware of what category the thread belongs to.
Where the categories come into play is when I want to start a thread. Since every thread is started by someone, it's obvious that most people do pay attention to categories at some time.
That leads me to say that I think you at least should keep the commercial section and continue to insist that commercial announcements be placed there. This gives you a quick and obvious basis for deleting business posts that are placed in multiple threads.
Rik has a good point about making larger use of the feature that identifies threads that have received posts since the last visit. The "Today's Posts" feature may not work as intended in places like Australia and New Zealand, where it's always "tomorrow."

I agree with Rik and luvnaturism, even though my tomorrow is not your today, anyone working odd shifts or online at the wee hours, like I am. The "todays posts" does not work.
If you could, expand "todays posts" to maybe something like, "posts from the last 24 hrs." or something like that.
