Hello,

My husband and I are from near Dothan, Alabama and are looking for some friends to do some grilling out and camping with. We are new to social nudism are not swingers... just want to make friends that are like minded... we are 48 and 42 years old. our email address is newcouple3512@yahoo.com

If you're ready to try going to a resort, there are three in the western Florida panhandle. sorry I can't recall two of the names, but there is one close to Panama City,called the Bay Bares resort, best I remember. Look around the web for florida nudist resorts, should get you headed in the right direction for info.

There are two others as well, Sunburst, and Riviera in the Pace Milton area. They are very close to each other. I know you will enjoy them. Rivieras'phone number is 850-994-3665 and is in Pace. Baybares is 850-722-0790 and is located in Youngstown, just a fiew miles north of Panama City.

two in fla. that i know of is lake como and paradise lakes. both i believe are in the northern part of fla. http://www.paradiselakes.com

I think the nicest one is the Baybares, these people are open to anyone that desires to be nude. They do not mind if you are a member of any national organization or not, and are very friendly to first time nudist, male or female, married or single.

One thing to be careful of in your correspondence - avoid the term "like minded". That term has been hijacked by the swinging community and is often used (as is "lifestyle") by their members to discreetly identify each other.

Really? I think that is silly. Now I have to choose my words carefully so as not to attract undesireables? What words can I use? Or how about we naturists/nudists openly expose all who link nudity with swinging and such. Then they will stop using terms like that and may even come to realize that we are not here for sex. Why not create a nudist sex offender registry of sorts. Waddaya think?

Thanks for the information... I never knew that would be an issue... but I guess it could be.. now that you think about it. We might give it a trying this coming weekend.. I will let you know. Thats for the response from everyone

I have to disagree with this Randy and it is only OUR opnion, as we are members there (for now till membership expires) we do not go as the wife does not like it there nor does she feel comfortable there. We have more to offer here but in a smaller scale, so no need to travel, but if we were to choose one of the three it would have to be Sunburst.

We have reservations at the Riveria which is sister's to the Sunburst.. We were going to stay at Sunburst but they are having a volleyball game and dance on Saturday and Sunbust didnt have anything going on! I will let you know! Thanks everyone

Hello Everyone,

We went to the Riveria Resort in Pace,Florida.
We were considered as "Newbies". I have to say that we had a wonderful time. The resort was so clean and Pat the manager made us feel so welcome. She keeps a tight ship on all the rules but I believe that is what makes the weekend so pleasurable. The regulars there made you feel very welcome.. They had a pot luck dinner and a dance.. We had alot of fun and plan to go back soon. We do plan to visit other places close by. But I don't believe we will find a weekend to top this one!

We are a couple in N. Alabama. I'm 37 and she's 34. I'm an open nudists but she is a home nudist only - but I'm working on that. ;-)

i live just outside birmingham; haven't been to any resorts in florida (yet). glad to hear that you had a good experience as "newbies."

i did visit a resort north of atlanta -- serendipity park -- and had a mixed experience.

I graduated from the University of Alabama in '98. I went to Serendipity a few times and to Gymno-Vita once while I was there. I miss the warm weather b/c I now live in Northern New York. My wife and I were nude in my apartment all the time. Now when it gets chilly its too chilly to be nude even in the house. I miss Alabama and the warm climate where I can be nude all the time.
