I wanted to thank the people who replied to my other post. when i first read it i almost immedialy when to blacks beach. now i have been there three times and i almost couldnt help but notice all the people that were not nude at the beach. this kind of made me uncomfortable because i kind of felt like eye candy while i was enjoying my experience. has anyone else felt this at blacks or is it just me and another thing is what is the big deal about a people getting naked? even if you work out every day and look "hot" in the clothes you wear, you'd still look ugly to me with your clothes off so there is anyone reading this right now with hang ups about being naked just forget about them and get naked you'll feel alot better trust me

I've noticed that too, although not at Black's (I've never been to CA). At most nude beaches I think, the majority of the people are nude, and the clothed ones usually fall into one of the following groups:
1. teenagers (not me, I'm always nude /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )
2. one parent when the other and the children are nude
3. women who are only topless
Hi Nudegnome
I feel that way sometimes at our local nude beach, being a twin and 22 years old I feel like I'm being stared at but I have concluded being a twin and being with my twin bro at the beach is the thing that people are staring at.
I guess being a young naturist and a twin is a rare thing and people naturally stare for a while.
Hope that makes sense, if you want to ask any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Nudegnome: I've been to Black's several
times. Lately there's been a lot of non
naturists hanging around. A female naturist
friend of mine was glared at by a group of
guys sitting fully dressed nearby. It
marred an otherwise pleasant visit to the
beach. I think the problem is a combination
of (bathing suit tourists) and
voyeurs. Honestly, I don't know what the
solution is. Either way, Black's beach is
still a cool place to go!

I have felt the same thing and I believe it is present at most of our nude beaches. But because Blacks is so well known it gets more attention. I used to go to Blacks a lot but gradually started going to San Onofre just up the road past Oceanside. Because there are fewer gawkers. They still have them but just no as many. Also the ones that freak me out at Blacks are the guys just sitting around with clothes on real close to nude people. They tend to move in close to where a woman is and then try to position themselves to have a good view, if you know what I mean. There are almost none of these types at San Onofre. Now that I've said that I'll jinx it.
It used to really pi** me off. I felt like a circus freak or something. But I started to think hey we are kind of like showing them how nudism is. I have noticed that some who come down eventually start to go nude themselves which is progress.

I have never been to Blacks so can comment on that beach in particular but I do notice that I think it is possible to distinguish between creeps/lurkers/voyeurs and curious textile crowd that will join in. The former are obvious, rude, ignorant and a nuisance. The latter may be obvious as they will take some time to shed clothes, wife may only be topless, one of the two in the couple may be nude and the other not, or they may be in thongs, or g strings and only feel comfortable on a nude beach attired like that. This latter crowd does not bother me since eventually they join in being nude and that usually means more to be nude.

About your experience at Blacks. I lived in San Diego for 13 years and Blacks was my second home. I was always there and it is still one of most favorite places to be. Over the years I saw and met many females due to the bad manors of a lot of guys. Some of the stories I could write about make me mad and I'm a guy. Of course as a life long nudist, my view of naked bodies, male and female doesn't carry the sexual nature of other guys. After many conversations with ladies at Blacks and my own pondering, guys do stupid/rude things on regular beaches too, but for some reason feel a naked female on the beach is open to bolder advancements. Without going on to much, my suggestion is stay in the center area of the beach were other regulars go. They can help ward off undesirables and offer a safer place to enjoy your naked experience. Last, don't let the few bad ones spoil your enjoyment of being naked in the sun and surf.
