250 persons called a TV station in Japan to protest the showing of breasts in a dance number on TV New Years show.
The dancers were wearing body suits.

Maybe they're Ashcroft fans.

Except for the fact that the breasts didn't move naturally (at all, in fact), it was otherwise pretty convincing. I think if I didn't know it was a body-suit I would be have assumed they were topless for real.

With all the stuff I see in anime, all the time, I would think otherwise.

250 out of a population of 130 million seems like a pretty negligible protest to me. Looked like a good show.

In case you are wondering about the fake nudity, here is a photo (http://bp3.blogger.com/_FywE8u5dnY0/RZgFBSqs4II/AAAAAAAAAfo/3pzUk7XHpAE/s1600-h/ozma3.jpg)

Referring to another thread, I did not find my culture "ruined" in any way by watching that video.

Anyone notice that they are also "bottom-free" at the very end, save for the fake pubic hair.

Is this typical Japanese pop music?

I hope not! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/freak.gif

Im living in Japan at the moment and its not as a big deal as people are making out to be. I did see the show and also thought they were real breasts, but they are body suits and all that was said was a newspaper article and a less than 30sec clip on the news. its all been forgotten about within the first week. Japanese people are more likely to not say anything or even just change the channel rather than create a fuss over something so trivial.

They have adult video shops in between family restaurants with full breasted images of models posted out side the door and no body seems to take any notice apart from the foreigners who get a kick out of it and take photos to send home to family and friends.

Sorry to say PD, the style of music , yes is typical Japanese pop music called here by "Jpop"

As for the design of the routine i think it was just one of those things the crazy Japanese people do.
