I'm following the NCAA tournaments again this year and supporting the school I attended -
The Ohio State University.

The men's and women's teams both won the Big Ten Conference titles and are in the NCAA tournaments.

My prediction is that U.C.L.A. will beat U.N.C. in the final game. My preference would be either U.N.C. or Tennessee. I do think the lady vols will win it all.

I have never understood what the big deal is with having the word "The" in front of Ohio State University. Are there "Other" Ohio State Universities? I always laugh when I hear the pro football players introduce themselves that way before the game on tv.

I made it to my first NCAA tourney game this past weekend in Philly on Friday!!! Saw UConn vs. Albany and Kentucky vs. UAB - two great games http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

You and the entire Wachovia Center!!! I never saw so much purple and yellow in my life! And then every other fan not wearing a uconn shirt was cheering for Albany as well. Not that I can blame them, if it wasn't my team they were playing, I certainly would have been supporting the underdog as well. It really was a great game!

As to putting the The in front of the name is....simple....class.

And with there being a school called Ohio University, in Athens Ohio. It confused us hillbillys. Now we and everyone knows when The Buckeyes are talked about.

You must laff a lot watching all the NFL players saying "The Ohio State University", since there are soooooooooooooooo many playing in the NFL.

The clock struck midnight for George Mason as Florida shot past them.

UCLA was too much for LSU's emotional run.

So now we have the final game. I'll go for Florida.

I'm just glad Duke was eliminated early. Can't stand them.
