I am opening a community photo album for folks over 18 yrs. old to post pictures of themselves or their vacations to naturist settings. It seems as though some people don't want to post pictures of themselves or just don't want to bother starting a photo album here. So if you have a few digital pictures of yourself and you wanted to put them somewhere on clothesfree but never had the chance, now here is a good place to put them. i will start with my picture....

I figured some people probably have a picture here or there in their home but not enough to really fill a photo album on this site, so this can give them the opportunity to paste them here. Some people are also nervous about posting their pictures on this site, but you have to be a member to even get to the photo albums anyways. So hopefully some others will post here as well. Chrisconn83 and i were discussing the idea so thank him for inspiring me (and he posted a picture as well!!)...

The more I think about it the more I think this is a great new site.

Only problem was I tried to add a photo and was told it was too large - not sure how to reduce it but even an old dog learns new tricks and will keep trying.

Fuzzy Nuts: Try opening the picture in your picture manager program. (But make a copy of it first if you want to preserve the original.) Click edit. From there you should "compress" the photo. I usually choose the "web page" option. You can also crop the picture if necessary. Just play around with it until the properties are w/in the requirements for the photo albumn here. Hope that help!

Yes, it is a good idea. But I wish we could get an assurance from CFI that they will not re-post these photos on their paying Photos of Freedom area. We own copyright on the photos, not CFI -- unless somewhere in the Terms of Service we are giving up that right from posting here. Can any moderator elaborate or explain? Thanks.

Uploading photos:
You DO NOT have to be nude in your photos. Send photos of resorts, beaches, friends (with their permission, of course), etc. Photos of someone staring at the camera with a worried look on their face is getting old. Find a photo of yourself smiling! Sexually suggestive or other inappropriate photos will be deleted without notice. Artistic nude photos are fine. We will determine what is artistic as opposed to sexy or sexual on an individual basis. Redundant photos of just your body in different poses may be deleted. Not allowed are unnatural, spread leg shots, photos that look like the genitals are the focal point of the photo, blurred faces or any other body part, sexual poses, heads cut off, photos that for any reason gets complaints from other users, anything else we determine is not good for the naturist cause. Photos of yourself should preferably show you at your favorite clubs, resorts, beaches, etc. Try Smiling! By uploading your photos, you are giving us permission to use your photo for promotion of the nudist lifestyle.

Photo's added to a photo album must be 200K or Less or else you get an error when posting.

A normal forum post with an attachment can be no larger than 150k or less [same error as above]

Most digital cameras take shots or people have them set for much higher resolution or default file size per picture.

Photo's that are larger out of the camera may be resized by any number of photo programs such as Paint shop, or windows paint, and even Windows by right clicking and going to Resize.

I find that a free downloadable Photo viewer, slideshow, and image program called "IRfanView" is one of the most popular, fastest, and easy program to use as a default windows image viewer. I have posted about this before in the forums at this URL/Link:

Resizing a picture file can be done in Pixels x Pixels [normally Width x Height

Or Inches by Inches

Or by screen size or resolution with defaults for VGA 640 x 480 [small]; SVGA 800 x 600, and XVGA 1024 x 768

You don’t need a high "DPI" usually set to 72 to view a picture on a monitor screen. For printing that DPI should be set much higher 150-600.

All the above affect the file size but if you select "medium” 800 x 600 on most 700k to 1MB files it will reduce the file size to a useable size for photo albums or a forum post.

When resizing a picture the software makes another file so you do not loose your original file [default settings]

Hope this free [for home use] and great program helps in viewing and resizing your images. [This program is only available for Windows PC's and operating systems]

yes, thanks for the CFI information, i did not realize that they would or could re-use the picture without first asking us. I wounder if the uploading they are talking about is when you upload to CFI to put on the rotating daily pictures, ut not in a photo album. I would not think thy go to the photo albums and than use those photos without our prior permission.

Yes, haulover is nice and deserted during the week. I was able to walk from one end of the beach to the other (naked) without bumping into anyone or having to weave around someone. it was nice....

Well, several months ago I posted a photo album that had a pic of a couple of friends in the water at a resort, which I saw fleetingly in the "New Photos" box on CFI's home page. I've since stopped posting photo albums of my personal trip photos except in cases like this photo album of yours.

I am not sure, but can only assume that if you ask CFI staff not to re-use submitted photos that they would respect that.

I do believe that they only use these photos on THIS site, so my question would be; If you are willing to post your photo here would it be so bad if it was offered as photo of the day? To me that would be a compliment....

And yes David history tells me that if a photo is of good nature and quality it has been used in the past.

I sent CFI a photo for photo of the day and it appeared a few days later. I don't care if they use my picture, but I am glad it was brought up as some might care if the picture is used. I think if someone that you know say your picture here, than they are either nudists or cuirous about nudism. Either way, should make for interesting and hopefully enlightening discussion.

"florida-david" has a point by starting a forum community personal album all forum members can post and view personal pictures from trips etc. even if not a CFI member without access to almost 10,000 Photo's in CFI's POF Photo's of Freedom. This method of non CFI members posting albums on the forums has limitations of 100 photo's of which can be edited and changed by anyone and should not be a way around of posting, submitting, or viewing pictures in the large Pictures of Freedom album for CFI members.

I’m not sure but assume that CFI separates folders or images as to folders of the source as to wither images are CFI produced, or Member submitted, and has a way or data base, or tag system to identify who submitted pictures. I don't know if it’s possible, and with the huge number of photos submitted and re posted if there is a way that such a request could be tagged in the image file or followed and honored. Digitally, or by memory with unknown or accurate results. Maybe corky could make a comment on that.

Anything that’s posted on CFI or the Forums in text or Image forum is copy and paste ‘able by anyone one on the internet, so if one does not want a personal picture from an album of a family nude event or trip, I would say don't post it on a public forum, site, or user group.

After posting photo I read what has been said about Clothesfree using photo . One good point is that you can delete your photo on this site which I may do unless given insurance from the powers that be that my photo that I added won't be used on photo of the day.

Now how can I delete the photo I sent of myself that is on CFI photos? Dont care if it is on there but dont want it to appear as photo of day.

I did as you suggested and emailed Corky and got a nice reply stating that Clothesfree would not put the photo I had submitted a long time ago as Photo of the Day. Nice to hear that and possibly other viewers who want to submit photos can rest assured that they wont be used as photo of the day if you put in that request.

By the way the photo was one of the Pictures of Freedom - in my email to Corky I told him where photo was to make it easier for him - category, group, row etc.

we are actually going back in April. It is a little tougher now since they are not flying out of Toronto to there. We have to fly to Montreal connect to get down there. I guess the same would be for anywhere else in Canada. It is worth it though.

Well I haven't been on any nude vacations, I presume the initial post wasn't a typo and it was supposed to be photo's of members OR their vacations, and not ON their vacations (someone else posted a seemingly non-holiday shot)

So anyway, I added a couple of shots of myself; at my back door, and out in the garden, one of the few chances I've had to go out there earlier in the year, very rarely do I get the house to myself and warm enough weather. So, that's me.

post a picture of yourself anywhere naked or nude, vacation or not. you can even post a picture of yourself clothed, if that is what you are comfortable with....

I was thinking of scanning a selection of beach photos and doing a "Me through the ages" album. I've only got as far as scanning the oldest, which dates from 1980, so I've added it here.

There have been other postings of pictures through the ages. Just scan and add yours to an album and share. You csn find some of the other albums by searching the CFF website.

Thanks for the votes of encouragement, although any series of photos will also plot the growth of my belly over time. I'll see what I can do over Christmas.

BTW - Completely off topic but I've just booked us two weeks in a resort in Corsica. 26 years of beaches, back gardens and saunas and finally two weeks in a naturist resort!
