Why can't our government work?
Because Congress is antitherical to Progress

Why shouldn't women become hookers?
Because Prositution is against the Constitution

Why can only amatuers talk with Priests?
Because Professionals don't use Confessionals.

Why was the agreement so short?
Because you can't Protract a Contract.

Anyone got any other pro-con riddles?

Not a riddle, but the thought used to run through my mind, "Institution. Constitution. Prostitution." I like to see what the words were and meant before they were translated into our English. The "-stitution" part means "standing" or "like a statue", so we have In + Standing or Standing In or On; Together + Standing or Standing Together; and Out(front) + Standing or Standing Out(front), like a statue.

As for Pro-Con, a friend used to wonder why we have up and down, forward and backward, left and right, big and small, pro and con, far and near. Why do we always have opposites?

If people couldn't argue, they wouldn't even talk.

If people didn't talk, language would never have been invented.

If language was never invented, there wouldn't be any opposites.

If there were no opposites, people would fall up instead of down.

If all the people fell up, the earth would be uninhabited.

If the earth was uninhabited, you could never have asked your question.

If you couldn't ask your question, I could never have answered it.

Then there would obviously be no need for this great forum.

And that, my dear friend, is why we have opposites.
