Well, it looks like Indy fan are ecstatic and the monkey is finally off Peyton Manning's back. In an ugly game, the Colts made it through the rain and the Bears defense to take the Championship.
Congrats to the Colts!

Living here in NW Indiana, we're a Chicago suburb, we are Bears fans. But we're also Hoosiers, so we're Colts fans. So we're both elated http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gifand depressed. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif And obviously somewhat schizophrenic http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/confused.gif

That monkey is going to be on Eli Manning's back now but congrats to the Colts. I called it earlier on the forum but it was a really great game. I hope next year it won't be raining.

I thought the rainy weather would have favored the Bares, but looks like the Colts proved otherwise. What other way to finish a football season with a typical rainy, bad weather, soggy field football game. Reminds me of the old days.http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

It needed a little MUD to make it a real football game! I thought that both teams looked pretty bad for the game they were playing in. In the old days they had better players, there isn't room here to name all of them. Tom Landry and John Madden's teams didn't do stupid stuff, got to name George Allen in it also (remember the over the hill gang?).

It was a great game despite the Rainy weather.
Excitement right from the opening kick off.
I never thought of Peyton as having a monkey on his back. The media is too quick to attach cliche's like that to sports stars.
As for Tony Dungy. I have just one word for his achievment.
FANTASTIC!!!!
I wish he was still in Minnesota.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to concede defeat of my beloved Bare's. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sick.gif Poor Rex is going to be chewed up by the media, but he really is still a rookie as he has been on the injury list for much of his career with the Bare's. I feel sorry for the guy but he takes it relative well.
I must add that if the Bare's had to lose, I am glad it was to a class team like the Colts. I would have certainly been cheering for them if the Bare's had not been the opponent. So in closing I would like to say, "Congratulations Colts".
What is that saying that we Cubs fans use every year? http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/anxious.gif

Congratulations to the Colts. They were the best team. No longer will they be known as the "doormat" of the AFC.
On the downside, I'll have you all know I lost the bet with my girlfriend. The penalty was to run around the house nude in the snow after the game. I was afraid she was going to lock the door behind me. THAT WAS COLD!
