I really enjoyed this week's show. One of my favorite features of Nudes in the News is the interviews with nudists. This week's set of interviews was particularly interesting. Since this week focused on women, could we possibly see some interviews with guys talking about their experiences at a nudist venue for the first time?

I couldn't agree more. Corinne (sp?) is lovely. I love it when girls get really passionate about something and they start talking really, really fast! hehe cute... But yeah, it was interesting to get the POV of regular people, especially the first timers. NITN just keeps getting better. Good job everybody.

I agree this is a great show, possibly the best ever. I recently read a post by a forum member who completely dissed Nudes in the News. That message was unfair, but Clothesfree did a great job of just sucking it up, not reacting defensively, and responding to the criticism positively. Personally, I feel that INA, CCF and Nudes in the News do a better job of presenting nudism than AANR, TNS or any other organization I know of -- BECAUSE it's a website. What difference does it make if you get discounts to resorts if you have no idea what nudism is really about? I think INA, CCF and Nudes in the News do a great job of this! Thanks, folks!

The picture archive has quite a few cool "behind the scenes" photos of the taping of show 117 (and other recent episodes), see also my post in "favourite newscaster" (9/3).
I have been thinking much about show 117 (and 116). Let's face it, the average visitor at DSI isn't exclusively relative young and good looking women (like the 6 women that were interviewed in show #117). From some of the stills and show 116 you get a fair idea of the visitors at the time, and as usual they come in all shapes.
Although nudist prefer to state that when nude, we're all 'alike', it's no denying that Corine (?) is quite attractive (that's probably an understatement; see Hooked's reaction), a reason for her - as she says herself - to wear baggy clothes on an textile beach as not to draw unwanted attention. She was the guide on the naked bus tour, I am sure she would do very well as a guest presenter in CFTV (suggestion, suggestion ;-)
The least I would have liked to see is after the Corine interview is an interview with one of the single guys, and lets hear what he thinks (and indeed if he maintains eye contact as Corine claims, pffff - it's not an easy one ;-)
I know INA wants to portray a younger, 'cooler' kind of image and that's great. We need that very much so. But I felt that the interviews from show 117 were rather biased. The so-called nudist market gets swamped with clips and pictures of "young pretty women who frolick around in the nude", thus maintaining a proper and unbiased perspective is very important. DSI is probably not your average AANR style resort either?
As I mentioned in another post, check for example the difference in nudist movies offered by tower productions (very good, honest, aanr style) and parafotos (good intentions, probably, but apparently it has to be t*ts that make the stuff sell). There is a fine line here. Maybe I am seeing it too dark, but an unbiased perspective is important.

Naturist4Ever, I agree with what you said about having an unbiased view of things. In the future I would like to see interviews of people who aren't young, white, and female. There are several interviews with older couples on some of the earlier shows. In terms of the interviews for this show I kind of wonder if resposes such as "I don't have to tell men that my eyes are on my face" are a result of Cory's understandable desire to ask questions that would get an answer which portays nudism in a positive light.

What I thought was good about the show was not the alleged physical beauty of the interviewees but their straight-forward, honest descriptions of what it felt like to be a first-time female nudist. I don't think CFTV has captured the "newbie" experience as well before, and the descriptions given by the women will be valuable for people thinking about but still reluctant to try nudism. Another group that I don't think has been interviewed before is parents with young children concerning their thoughts about raising their children as nudists.

NITN 117 was probably the best show to date. I have already shown the interviews to two of my friends with whom I have discussed the naturist lifestyle. It was great for them to hear "first time" reactions and encouraged me to write in saying as much.
Could CFTV possible run as many spots like this as possible? While it is great for us to keep current on what's going on in the naturist community, the shows can also be used, as in this case, to help us bring others into the circle.
