View Full Version : Now, how about Kiawah Island or Edisto Beach for thongs or nude?

Ok, I'm going to start this thread by saying, I am NOT looking for a NUDE beach in South carolina!!! I know..there ARENT any!

What I am looking for is anyone who has taken a chance and either thonged or gone nude on Edisto or Kiawah beaches in perhaps isolated areas.

I've thonged AND gone nude on Folly beach outside of Charleston and I have pictures to back that up. The only thing I know is that you do have to pay attention to your surroundings...I already realise this. It's not that much of a hassle to just keep an open eye for berach strollers.

Any info for Edisto or Kiawah, or are those places just WAY too populated now?

Nope. I emailed her and she mentioned some legal reasons why she couldnt offer info and that a friend laid out but doesnt anymore.

Surely someone has partaken in such activities and can offer some sort of info.

Kiawah is not Folly, as I'm sure you've noticed. I've been to Kiawah many times and haven't seen anyplace that seems likely for nudity. The inhabitants seem an awfully starched bunch, and I can't imagine they'd let it pass if you were seen. You might go all the way to the north end of the island (past the end of the paved road, ride your bike because the dirt road is usually chained) past the last golf hole to see if it's deserted enough. Edistow might be more likely, I haven't been there enough to know.

ok kool thanx for the update. I kinda figure Kiawah might be kinda busy but I havent been there since I was in my single digits and dont really remember, and I'm now in my mid 30's.

I'll keep pluggin away at trying to find some more info.

I've laid out nude a plenty times out on Sullivans Island not far form folly

hey capt morgan,

I thought about doin Sulli's last August but never got around to it because we had a few days of rain.

The question I'd like to ask is, what time of the year dud you lay out and where exactly were you on Sulli's island? I know the island fairly well.
And have you ever breaved it on Folly? I have tons of info as well as pics to assist in finding "the spot" on Folly.

During my visit to Kiawah in May of 1996, I rented bicycles and rode up the beach away from the main condo area, past the homes along the beach to a part of the beach accessible only during low tide. We crossed a very shallow bit of water and arrived on a totally deserted stretch of beach. When the tide came in, there was no way to get back to the main beach area. We spent most of the week there nude all day until the tide went out and we could easily ride back down the beach to the condo we rented. During the time we spent on this section of the beach, we only saw two other people and they were nude also.

It is quite a ride along the beach, but worth it to be away from everyone else and enjoy the beach nude. There may be more development there and nature may have done its trick to completely alter the landscape, but I believe it would be worth checking out. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

Howwverm you're right, that was 10 years ago and many hurricanes ans tropical storms and developemts ago too. I will be looking into it though.
