Naked Basketball

I have played basketball on a regular basis. And I was wondering if anybody here has played in a game of basketball completely nude. I know that basketball is a very physical game, and I was wondering if the activity is appropriate at nudist resorts. I have snuck of my house at night to play naked and it is very refreshing.

I've never played, but there are basketball courts at probably all larger nudist parks and resorts.

The sport is not inappropriate just as nothing is that can normally be done clothed. I haven't seen a full-on game yet, just basically shooting hoops. My question would be how they would designate teams. I guess the unlucky ones would have to wear shirts.

There are some basketball courts, but the most popular active athletic activities are tennis and volleyball. There are often swim-related events, and for the quieter activities, petanque and shuffleboard.

We have a court on our property and frequently will play a bit of one on one. My sons have had several of their friends over for larger games. Really, I would pretty much agree that what can be done clothed can be done nude.

When I was growing up, the kids in the neighborhood would play strip basketball from time to time. A version of "horse,"really. If one guy made a certain shot, the next guy would have to make the same shot or remove a piece of clothing. Lucky for me, I was terrible at basketball!

I've shot hoops naked at a resort but not gotten into a game where as I've played lots of volleyball naked. Basketball usually creates more physical contact just from the nature of the game than volleyball. That may be part of the reason why it isn't played as often nude. (?) I think people tend to like a bit less running too so volleyball wins there. Personally, I don't care...I just want to PLAY!

I have played BBall with my wife at nudist resorts...whenever a hoop was available. Most people either shoot hoops alone or play with family members (father and son most frequently); definitely, as Denita mentionned, because of the amount of physical contact that occurs while trying to block the opponent's throws. On a side note, the amount of running and jumping can be get a bit uncomfortable; my wife and I had to keep our games short because she would get uncomfortable after a few minutes of "bouncing all over the place." But I have also seen women wear a bikini top while playing Tennis, Bball or Volley Ball in order to avoid that sort of inconvenience..

But to answer the original question: shooting some hoops is not at all frowned upon at the resort.

I can think of quite a few sports inappropriate for nude participation. How about American football, baseball, cricket, skiing, ice hockey? Purely from the viewpoint of self-protection!

To add to what atalanta said, I don't think it would be very wise to play Fencing while nude. Especially with an inexperienced fencer. I'm not sure about Equestrian (can any horseriders comment on that). Diving might be alright, but a speedo might be necessary for protecting the men. Wrestling is a sport where the officials will check to make sure that the athletes are wearing protection. Taekwondo and Judo also require protection.

I would love to play basketball in the nude. I understand how some people may feel uncomfortable when it comes to playing defense (especially when someone is posting up) but if you keep in mind that its just a harmless game then I don't see no problem with it.

Hello nudemikey. I understand many nudists play basketball at nudist resorts because I have seen photos in nudist publications. So I don't think you have to worry about it being appropriate at resorts. As you may know, volleyball is also extremely popular amomg nudists. This is especially true in the summertime.

I belong to a nonland nudist club which offers a baketball court as one of there attractions. I have participate a few times and one of the funny comments people will ask as they pess the basketball court is which team is skins and which team shirts.

An excellent benefit I have recived on account of nude basketball is as follows. I have several children none of which ever wished to take part in nudity. My 16 year old son asked me the week of my recreation event, that if he attend the nude recreation night with me would he be able to play basketball. He said that one of his friends on his basketball team attends and told him that he plays basketball at the event. I told him that his friend was correct. I then asked him did his friend tell him that he would have to be naked in order to participate. He said that his friend had told him and that he and his family are nudist like me. I advised my son that I would be delighted if he attend the event but I want to be certain that he understood that he would be bare *** naked for the entire evening and that he would play basketball in his birthday suit. He said that he did, and said it sounds like fun although he knew that he would be very nervous. I advised him that being nervous for the first time was normal. I told him that I was delighted that he was thinking about spending time naked but that the dicision on weather he attends or not was his. He told me that he wanted to come.

The day of the naked recreation event my 12 year old son asked if he could come with us. I told he yes and then asked him if he realize that he would spentd the entire evening completely bare *** naked and his answer was he did.

To make along story short, my 2 sons had a fantastic time and both strip naked with out any problems. They both continue taking part in nudity along with the rest of their siblings.

Because of naked basket ball I'm a very proud father.

I have played many times at the clubs that have a basketball goal. I did not find it to be anymore difficult than nude tennis or volleyball. In fact, it was a blast! The human body was built to be nude and our ancestors and some native peoples even today have done much more physical activities in the nude without any more threat of injury than when clothed. I just don't get the concern?

The ancient Mayans played some sort of ball game where they had to get a ball thru a loop of some kind that was mounted on a wall. They played nude always. Seems many athletic activities by many cultures were done by naked people. Great!
