I did it in Singapore. I'd walk to work in a long t-shirt and then remove it once I unlocked the office and got inside. About an hour later, I'd get dressed for the first of the normal flex timers to arrive. My boss caught me one morning. "No problem", he said.

Once while I was in real estate I went to my office about 10:00pm the air was off and it was so hot. It had been a very long day. Nobody was there. First I kicked off my shoes and socks. Soon the rest followed. It was so hot in the office. I finished after midnight and threw my clothes in a bag and left and drove home naked.

I used to work for a company that required a lot of driving. I was on my way home from one of the longer trips. The weather was very hot, so I stripped and drove for at least an hour and a half. I knew some truckers saw me, but I was extremely hot, and it made the drive that much more comfortable. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

I see one naked work category as just about any work-at-home job. I am lucky to be in that situation again. Clients on the phone do not know I'm nude, and why would it matter? I certainly am more comfortable and can do better work nude.

Another possibility is, of course, working at a nudist resort, or any place where management would allow you to be naked. More nudist business-owners should try to create such clothing-optional employment opportunities. Of course it works much better in businesses where non-nudists will not be unexpectedly droppinjg by. A location in the middle of nowhere (vs. within a city) would help too. I read once about a call center in Holland, offering a clothing-optional employment. I don't know how it worked out, but I see no reason it couldn't work, if employees were screened adquately.

There is a practical side to this topic, and it occured to me that it really COULD be possible to create a clothing-optional workplace environment a few years ago. I have even seen a SIG (Special Interest Group) created by someone else dedicated to the topic of Nude Office Workers ("N.O.W." - No offense to the National Organization of Women intended) that had a newsletter and everything.

I think that guy's idea was ahead of its time and it was also (incidentially) pre-World Wide Web, so the newsletter came via U.S. Mail and was only sent 4 times a year. There have certainly been alot of additions to the world of potential place to work clothing free since the time he published the newsletter, and in THAT spirit I created a Yahoo! Group dedicated to the topic. You all can find it at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nudist_employment/

There are Employee / Employment databases and a few other things.

This may be just a "fanciful" idea, but aside from the logistics of creating a nudist office, like (probably) needing changing rooms for some employees to use, it COULD be done.

I always like to think that when people really set their minds to it, that we can accomplish anything! This philosophy has also recently inspired me to consider writing up a plan for resort cities to establish "Topless or clothing-optional beach areas" along their ocean fronts, and send it to my local Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Some things may seem impractical at first glance, but that is usually the skeptics point of view. I like to think that anything is possible and sometimes it just requires someone to "lay the groundwork" (or do the research) on a topic in order to help other people see how it might be possible also.

The tough part about the clothing-optional workplace is the legal side. Drawing up employment agreements that can deflect the potential for harassment lawsuits before the first employee is ever hired, for example. I would like to know more about how some of the Nudist Resorts have tackled this issue, because it seems even though they may "screen" employees carefully that a non-nudist person might get through the process. It would only take one lawsuit to tie up a resort in court for years, so I hope it never happens.

Although with the potential for lawsuits over anything these days, I suppose the standard "at will" employment agreements may be all inclusive enough to cover even nudist environment situations!

I work as a substitute teacher for 3 school districts here in El Paso, Texas. They would never let me work naked although if they did it would make for an interesting day I suppose.

I do travel to work nude often but can't work in the nude.

In the past, I was able to do some office work in the nude but after some rearranging of offices and dorms, I was moved from downstairs to upstairs in the fire house and lost my ability to work nude late in the evening.
