I've not been up to Nuding or much of anything else for a long while, tired all the time no matter what rest I got. Well, Wednesday I had a angiagram done at Stanford Med Centre and they found I had a 90% blockage on the transverse artery that supplies the heart itself with oxygen. They put in a device called a "stint". I hopefully will regain my strenght now and be able to get back out there. What I want to say is watch yourselves guys. It is a wonderful body we've been given but it can get messed up real easy. Take care of yourselves...NOW. Elery

Hope the blood is flowing properly to the ticker now, Elery. None of us are getting any younger, and this is the only body we're going to get. I saw a Twilight Zone show once where a person could buy a young new body in perfect condition and have their brain put into it. Wouldn't that be great?

I have always been rather adventurous and my body reminds me regularly. It is because of this that I try to keep fit, but regular medical checkups are very important.
Hope everything is working properly now.

Thanks for the kind words...the scary thing is that my lifestyle has been pretty healthy, no smoking, a little wine with dinner, long walks and with an eye to foods that lead to trouble and I still have problems. Yes...keep an eye on the machinery. Upkeep doesn't do it all sometimes...

My only indulgence is food--I LOVE to eat! The problem is I often eat when I'm not hungry. I eat when I'm bored, and I'm often bored. My retiremnent barely pays the bills, and there's nothing left over to go anywhere or do anything, so I sit at home and watch boring TV programs or play on the Internet. I also sleep a lot--or try to. I hate exercising even though I have a skiing exerciser that collects dust.

Jon-Marc...mmm mm mmmmm! You are obviously an intelligent guy. Draw paint photograph write read watch birds fly and trees grow watch people... go naked in public and get arrested...how can you be bored...eat yes who needs an excuse to eat? Observe my loverly phisque, lots of calories stored there. hehe. I have never been bored in my life there is never enough time. You seem to be a nice person, you look good and seem healthy. I can hardly wait for retirement and I won't have a lot of money available either but the best things in life aren't necessarily free but they ain't too dear. Sorry for the semi rant but I just hate knowing someone is bored...Elery

Elery,
At this time of year I get bored because it's getting too cold for me to enjoy being nude outdoors. That's why I wanted to move south, but I can't do that since my house won't sell. It looks like I'm stuck here. Next year I will buy at least a three month membership at Turtle Lake Resort. I spend more than that there during the summer, and it would be cheaper to be a member. They have a three, six and year round membership. I will try to get the year round one so that I can go there any time of the year and enjoy the pool and hot tub.

Elery, I wish you well. Take care of yourself.
"I saw a Twilight Zone show once where a person could buy a young new body in perfect condition and have their brain put into it. Wouldn't that be great?"
But what if all of the male bodies are taken and the only ones left are female?
And Jon-Marc, Elery is right. Decide what you enjoy doing and do that. Do you like working with children? Maybe you could inquire about helping a local school. I helped out in an Elementary school a couple of years ago. That experience was great.
Basically, get out of the house. Get involved with other activities. Meet other people. Nudity is great, but it shouldn't be your ultimate goal in life.

No Bob, I don't like being around children for very long. I have very sensitive hearing and often have to wear earplugs because of it, and my hearing isn't as good as my mother's was. When I go to my daughter's, I usually have to leave after a couple of hours because of the screaming and fighting among the grandkids, and that's just four kids.
I tried to be a Sunday School teacher once and found I don't have a talent for it. Also, the kids got on my nerves very quickly. I much prefer being around adults. I'm looking for a part-time job, but the way things aren't going my way lately it probably won't happen.

John-Marc, I have an idea, I have always been interested in building things, now that I'm retired like you there is a shortage of money. What I do is each month I will buy about $100 in material and work on my house. It gives me something to do and keeps the house from falling down. I hope this will help.
Your friend,

It would if I had any carpenter skills. I've tried doing a few things. Unfortunately, it looks as though an amateur did it--crappy. If I had $100 each month I didn't need, I would put it on a bill and try to pay them off.
Anyway, I've applied to refinance my home. If I can get anywhere near as much as the woman at the mortgage company mentioned, I could combine my two mortgages into one and pay off two credit cards. According to her figures, it would save me around $570 per month.

Hope the refinance works for you. Sounds like time for a break to come along. E

Sorry to read about your health problems. I hope the doctors get it cured quickly. I also hope you are not feeling any discomfort.
You're in my prayers.

Best wishes for your advancement back to great health. It's a great thing when a problem can be identified and fixed before the heart attack! /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

However, I know that many people who are clinically depressed would express their situation much as you have. It's also true that people who are depressed get caught in a self-perpetuating cycle: depression causes them to avoid doing the things (such as exercise and community involvement) that would help them overcome the depression.
Have you discussed your feelings with your doctor? If not, I hope you will do so. The world is full of people with little money who are having a wonderful life. Why not decide to join them?
Luvnaturism,
I appreciate your concern. I remember telling myself years ago that I wouldn't allow myself to get depressed. Actually, I used the wrong word. What I am is discouraged. Although I guess that's just another word for depression.

I realize that you are seemingly eager to pay down your credit card bills (so am I) but you could take your first month's savings of $570. and celebrate by treating yourself to a trip to Haulover Beach, for instance. The air fare, roundtrip, from Detroit would be around $294. See the following web site for your cheap air fares;
http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?tovr=2003070303&ps3u=
Your Ocean Palm Motel room, costing around $60. per night, is a very short walking distance to Haulover Beach. There is a refrigerator in the room and rudimentary cooking facilities, so your meals would cost less, - and you like to cook.
See;

You could go by van to and from the Miami airport for about $17.each way.
You could justify this expense by counting it as one form of good therapy.
You deserve it, my friend! - (I may be just a self-appointed friend /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ).

Oh Elery
Dont worry TOO much. It is far not the End. My college worker here has been all of his life a heavy smoker. And now he had 99% of the same You have 90%, so he came into hospital, there the certain part of artery from his leg was cuted out and sewn near the heart to duplicate the "soothed" one. Now it is the second month after operation and he is quite springy home. This illness have a solution. Knock, and doors will became opened. Struggle, and You shall live really long.
Hey Elery I hope the "stint" works for you. Take care buddy. hw /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Elery, what you had inserted was a coronary artery stent, which is a mesh tube used to keep a blood vessel open, perhaps after angioplasty. Here is a photo of a stent:

Thanks everyone for your kind words...Hi Naked Lady...Thank you for the proper spelling of stent. The uhmmm, Doctor spelled it with an i or maybe an e or a j or whatever. Isn't it a pretty little thing? Should be for what it cost. Actually, I feel great more energy than I've had in the last year. What I mentioned all this for was just to remind everyone that there ain't no warranty on yer bod so keep an eye on things. Don't want to loose any good nudists yew no. E
Sorry about the spelling Elery...I didn't bother to look it up and just took it from your first post. /infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif I'm glad you are feeling better. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
There are some diseases we have no control over and those are the ones we need more research done on. This one is an especially difficult disease to contend with: http://www.medicinenet.com/Crohns_Disease/page1.htm
Some of you who think you may have IBS may actually be in the beginning stages of Crohn's Disease. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif You may want to check with your Dr. on this.
David,
That sounds like a great idea! I haven't been able to be nude outdoors in quite a while, and since we're just getting into Fall, we still have a long, cold winter to face here.
