Club Orient Info requested

Anyone out there been to Club Orient?

My wife and I are planning our 30th anniversary trip and she suggested a week there.

Any information any of you would have that might make the trip easier would be appreciated.

I went there about 10 years ago, but it was just for a couple of hours. We were on a cruise and only had the day to spend on the Island.

I'm not really sure what I can tell you, but if you have any questions, I will try to answer them.

thanks for the reply, We were looking for information that would make our first stay easier.

What things might we need to bring along, etc. I asked whether or not we could have our pictures taken while we were vacationing in the resort. I think that question was answered. Just looking for insider knowledge of the resort from someone who has stayed there.

Check their website--www.clubousa.com--and that should help. Haven't been there myself (yet!).

We've checked the web site, purchased the video now what we would really like is first hand info from someone who's actually been there to give us some tips.

we'll keep looking for the info...we don't leave til latter part of June '03 so there is still time.

I am not sure how much info you have obtained by now, but if you haven't viisited the following sites then do so.
www.traveltalkonline.com (http://www.traveltalkonline.com) probably the most comprehensive of general info about St. Martin.
Also, www.orientbeach.com (http://www.orientbeach.com) has a lot of Orient Beach / club orient guests....just be wary of some of the info in the personals sections, wouldn't beleive too much of that stuff...you'll see.

I went to Orient Beach for 10 days about 7 years ago in January. Was fabulous!

Beach is clean, wide, and has great sand--but if you face the water, your back is to the sun. You can rent umbrella and lounge chair daily that the staff sets up for you.

Pics are okay if you are discreet and respectful--don't take pics of strangers!)

Food is incredible and pricey in Grand Case (15 min down the road)--remember the restaurants that are not water side as just as good, and sometimes a little less pricey.

Don't miss the butterfly farm just outside ther resort on the road going left just up a ways.

Folks at CO are relatively social if you want to meet others, but I find folks at Hedonism II more convivial over all.

The facilities are clean and comfortable.
