Other than being lousy CFF forums software, I see why members here prefer external full featured IM clients that have secure voice, video, file, image, and text all at the same time with online notification.

Having banned word filtering in private messaging enabled just gives me a creepy feeling of being monitored, and their is absolutely no reason for that feature as private messaging is just that PRIVATE and cannot be monitored by anyone including the moderators, or administrators of the 26 forums or this web site.

The Java flash based forums chat software used has most of the audio, video, & HTML functions disabled as well as the private chat function as that cannot be monitored, and upon entering the chat room the bold red text warning of being monitored is just not conducive to nudist chat, or any other use.

It’s no secret that the forums members dislike the "Big Brother" configurations and settings of the forums software and go elsewhere externally to use full featured multi-media IM clients privately without being monitored in privacy, and there is no reason they shouldn't. Just go in and take a look, the chat room function is available, but rarely utilized for obvious reasons.

I had the same question too. Fortunately, I have chatted with two nice people here since I joined CFI a month ago.

Other question: why is the chat room always almost empty? I went there twice and there were only four people maximum.

If you want to meet other members, chat room is a good way to go. Am I right? See you there.

I find chat rooms to alot safer for meeting people, and they even have webcam and audio if you choose to use them. that way you wont have you MSN full of people you dont know. Some of my friends online that are girls even had to set up new account because there email was given to the wrong person, and he must have sent it to all his friends. I just thought i would spread the word.
