Great news. Hope it draws many new people.
my wife and I got he grand tour of the property on the 16th of this month.
there is a 25 acre lake (currently drained) 3 flowing creeks and lots of trails in the wooded hills of the 210 acre section of southern MO.
plans include lots of pull through rv space, w/ hook-ups. camping spaces galore. and various lounging areas around the place (it's a big place)
a clubhouse with indoor pool, an outdoor pool and hot tub. I cant tell you all the ideas I heard (too many)
the owner also said there was going to be areas for personal development if some one wanted to own and live on the inside.
if you want more info this is the owners web page...http://www.caribbeanbreezesresort.com/
or pm me for info
Is this the club that the county would only give an "Adults Only" operating permit to? Or is it going to be a new Family Oriented Nudist Club?
Take Care & Enjoy Life Bare,
David
It is my understanding that it will be family oriented. and singles friendly
I recommend contacting the owners e-mail and asking directly as I am not affiliated with the club, only a friend of the owner.

That is the club that the county, in May of this year, granted a conditional use permit with several conditions, including one that "No one under age 18 will be allowed into the nudist resort."
Excerpts from a May 19th article in the Washington, Missouri paper, The Missourian -
The plan commission voted 6 to 4 to grant the conditional use permit with a number of strict conditions the developer must meet in the next six months or else his permit will be revoked.
Schulz (Larry Schulz, Caribbean Breezes Resort owner) told The Missourian Thursday that meeting the deadline will depend on whether his neighbor, St. Louis Restaurant owner Charlie Gitto, grants him an easement.
Schulz, who currently has a 15-foot easement to his property, must gain a 60-foot access easement to handle the RVs and other traffic expected to enter and exit the proposed nudist resort.
Gitto owns property surrounding Schulz's access road and has stated several times that he will never grant Schulz the easement. He owns 300 acres adjoining Schulz's property.
The commission also imposed several other conditions which were recommended by county attorney Mark Vincent and plan commission attorney Joe Purschke:
An 8-foot-high screening fence must be erected around the entire 52 (acre) property;
A gate with a 24-hour guard service must be provided...

The conditions may have changed since then and I wish Larry Schulz success in his venture http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

I spoke to the owner last night about the information you have presented.
to my understanding, this was all concerning the 54 acre development on yellowdog road.
that development has been tabled and a new development started. it is not the same place.
they do not have the same stipulations and they are AANR registered. i do not have the rest of the details but can assure you the owner told me it is family oriented. it says so on the web page.
they are family oriented see the owners web page.

Segnet, thanks for contacting the owner and post, in addition to your other posts in this thread concerning the resort.
Per your suggestion, I checked the Caribbean Breezes Resort web page (http://www.caribbeanbreezesresort.com/) and it's nice to see that families, couples and singles are welcome. If I'm ever in the area after they open, I'd love to visit the resort and do some freehiking on the trails..... 210 acres, WOW!

you will certainly be welcomed, be sure to e-mail them and get added to their mailing list.
I have another source for info, i don't know if I am allowed to put the link in this thread.
it is a yahoo group, if you PM me I would be glad to send that to you.
If you have ever been to or seen pictures of the Ozarks or Tennessee mountains then you can imagine how beautiful this land is.
I plan to go see it when all the trees turn colors this fall.

Good to hear that they don't have to operate under a 'no under 18 rule', which should be called 'no families', and can operate as an AANR club.
I wonder if the local authorities realize that if they force a nudist resort to operate as adults only, they are very likely to force them to cater to the much more lucrative gay and "Lifestyle" (swinger) markets?

That seams to be a logical outcome.
when you have noisy opponents that drum up opposition people don't take the effort to think.
we live in a country with many closed minds.
I can hardly wait for this resort to open, the owners have such a Vision for what they can do with this property, it's amazing. He was describing to us how this would go here and that would go there, and he would name off details like what sign posts would read and everything.
I have no doubt that he(right now) can see it in his mind as Cristal clear as It will be when it's done.
It's going to be a regular garden of Eden kind of place.

I've been out to Caribbean Breezes also.. AWESOME place and as already been established, definitely an AANR club. In fact I signed up through Caribbean Breezes as an AANR member just a few weeks ago.. I have the receipt sitting here next to me and the computer (both nude http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif )
Larry and Lori are great people and I can't wait until the place opens..! It has great views, and lots of room and is going to be just a very very nudiful place! There will be some trails to meador through also and hopefully be some Jeep rides available. (jeeping naked!...)
Best part? Its only 5 miles from my house.. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif
