I know nothing first hand about Marreros B&B, but the internet states that the pool is clothing optional and that it is gay friendly.

I doubt that you will find any place in Key West where you can be nude all the time; such as in the dining room, living room or lobby.

I have stayed at two places in Key West; one a nice hotel on Duvall Street with my tour group and later at the Atlantic Shores Resort (motel, really) where I swam nude in their outdoor pool. This is allowed. I think anyone can go over to Atlantic Shores Resort for a swim even though they are not guests there. On week-ends there is a crowd of both men and women sunbathing there nude on the deck.

Been there, done that myself,with my wife even...we had a good time ,there at Atlantic Shores Resort. I was a nice big pool deck, with a bar and lots of good music and freindly atmosphere.I will certainly return there if ever back in Key West.

Here is what is said about Marreros B&B on TNS website;
Marrero¿s Guest Mansion

For a posh yet unpretentious B&B, try Marrero¿s, one block away from Key West¿s vibrant Old Town and Duval Street. Built in 1889 by a prosperous Cuban cigar distributor named Francisco Marrero for his wife Enriquetta, tradition says that the house is haunted by Enriquetta¿s friendly ghost. Marrero, it turned out, was already married to a woman in Cuba, and when he died the first wife came to Key West and ousted Enriquetta and her eight children from the home, with the then-impoverished Enriquetta vowing to return after death.

Marrero¿s has 13 guest rooms of various sizes, each with its own elegant style of furnishing. A continental breakfast of bagels, breads, donuts, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, milk, and juice is served every morning. Complimentary beer, wine, margaritas, and daiquiris are served for happy hour each evening. Both are good times to meet other guests and to compare notes as to what to see in Key West.

The hot tub, L-shaped pool, and an outdoor shower are well-shaded in a private backyard. It is only in this area that clothing is optional. Owners John Diebold and Jodie Jeck said that they do not want Marrero¿s to focus on any one niche. It had been a private residence, a bordello, a restaurant, and a gay B&B, but is now open to all as a guest house.

John said when they bought the place in October 2000 they had heard that the previous owners had adopted a clothing-optional policy in the pool area. Figuring that they should not "fix" something that was already working, they kept the policy and have found no problems with it. Florida naturists have known of the opportunity for some time, but since it was used primarily by gays up until 2000, word has not really spread among the naturist community.

While naturists would love to see all of Marrero¿s go clothing-optional, this is still a wonderful place. John didn¿t blink when I told him I was a naturist looking to doff my duds and soak up some sunshine and salt water in the area. He¿s slowly picking up on what family-friendly naturists want, and we discussed various possibilities in Key West.

Marrero¿s is smoke-free indoors, is adults-only, and does not allow pets. The owners have rented the entire house to naturist groups and are willing to do so again.

Marrero¿s Guest Mansion is at 410 Fleming Street, Key West, FL 33040. It can be reached at 800-459-6212 and info@marreros.com, or visit www.marreros.com (http://www.marreros.com).

Yes, Marrero's is a wonderful place. I have stayed there (I love Key West!) You would enjoy your stay at Marrero's and don't fret about being able to be nude as you are in Key West. LOL A wonderful Adult Playground!!!! Lots of clothing optional places.

Hope to be there again next year!

I staid there last summer, try and get a room with it's own bathroom. it very nice and the pool area is small but nice. It's close to alot of places you can just walk too. ther are a couple of the rooms by the pool that are the best.

My partner and I have stayed at Marreros a number of times when we have travelled to Key West. I love the happy hour each day, which provides a great opportunity to meet other guests, and the pool is very pleasant (and clothing optional). The main building and balcony are not clothing optional. John (the owner) is a great guy, and we've often spent time just chatting with him about the local happenings. There are two rooms detached by the pool, and a bedroom in the main building that overlooks the pool and spa. Any of these rooms would work for a totally nude environment.

My husband and I are planning a trip to Key West this summer and we are intrigued with Marrero’s Guest Mansion. We have looked at their site with the descriptions of the resident ghost and the clothing optional pool area, and we have noticed that there are many very positive reviews on TripAdviser and other similar travel sources. Are there any other readers who have stayed at Marrero’s recently? Were most guests nude in the pool area when you stayed there? Which of the rooms near the pool would you recommend? Other observations or suggestions for things to do in Key West? Any feedback would be appreciated! :)--Ellen

I was in Key West 2-1/2 wks ago. Unfortunately, Atlantic Shores Resort has been torn down and is being replaced by an expansion of Southernmost Resort. I wasn't staying at Marrero's but I did walk by it and it's in an ideal location. I'm certainly planning to stay there next time, and hoping the pool area is nude.
