Hi
I am interested in going to a nudist resort but have never been. I was wondering what the general age ranges are and is it mostly older?
Thanks
Cheryl

In my area the nudists at resorts tend to be mostly in the 40s and older, but that doesn't mean there aren't dozens or more in their 20s on any given day, and kids of members too.
Unless you go to a very small club on a very quiet weekday, there are likely to be people of all ages.

All ages!
However, it may depend somewhat on the type of resort. I would expect a somewhat younger demographic at "vacation" type resorts such as Caliente, Eden Bay, Desert Shadows, etc. And an older demographic at some of the more rustic resorts where retirees tend to settle.

This was the exact same thing I first went to a resort but it was quite the opposite there were loads of people my age there!

Honestly....it depends where you go.
I've actually found an opposite trend with more commercialized resorts. Caliente, Cypress Cove and other larger resorts tend to attract tourist-type nudists and while families are part of that demographic, the larger portion seems to be newly retired couples touring the USA in their RV's and older single gentlemen visiting on vacation or while on business.
I can't recall any resort that I've ever been to where I've seen dozens in their 20's, that would be rare indeed. Good, but unfortunately rare. College-aged nudists tend to be the most rare of all nudists.
Rustic resorts....depends. You have to look at their calendar of events. If they have no emphasis on family, then you might find it's an older community. If they emphasise themselves as a family resort and their calendar of activities supports that, then you'll find families and kids/teens. Smaller active resorts like Olive Dell (where I go) are full of young people, I think small resorts Lake Como are too since they consistantly have hosted AANR-youth camps for years and years.
Paradise Lakes, Caliente, Desert Shadows, etc. Are the "big" resorts....average age is "younger" than the average resort I suppose, but by "younger"...in my experience that means the average is in their late 40's instead of in their late 50's. When I visit larger resorts, I'm still fairly consistantly the youngest one, and I'm 31...which isn't really that young.

I agree that college-aged is very rare, even kids from nudist families tend to get scarce from high school - college. But there are some. Young couples in their mid to late 20s are a bit more common. Maybe I see more of them since I often hang out with the volleyball crowd.

I t has been our experience that on week days, the folks tend to be older-50 plus. On weekends, the crowds tend to be more varried in age although high school-college aged kids tend to be a bit scarse-except for our 4 that join us when then "have nothing better" tp do http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

First off Cheryl welcome to the forums.
You will find all ages at resorts and clubs and quite a few that don't act their age.
I know of an 82 year old lady that is prim and proper outside of the club and is a dignified Southern Lady, inside the club she is "Hell-on Wheels" in the pool for watervolleyball and will wear everyone out and still be going.

Not too far off the mark. Most college kids can't afford to come on a regular basis, so their attendance is spotty. But they are there often. And sports are played by all. You just have to come and join in. Then another young person will be there!!
And welcome to the forums! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

I agree with Tinner. Weekdays are usually quieter (retired people who don't have to work) and weekends the age range is children with their families all the way up to elderly. But each resort or club is different, so you have to try out different ones to see where you feel comfortable. Beaches tend to have a younger crowd, too.
