A Pennsylvania man decided to skinny-dip in a stranger's hot tub with a crack pipe

Richard Hedin is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

There is stupid and there is stupid. This gentleman is both. To go into a unknown person's hot tub, nude and with a crack pipe is beyond anything a reasonable person would do.

He must be cracked! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/bonk.gif

I was figuring more that the hot tub had the cracked pipe. Was thinking that could be dangerous if he slipped

This piece of news gives us one strong argument to support making stupidity a crime!

agreed! I do just that. I've organized nude parties and personally went around my neighborhood and invited my neighbors. I've handed out nudist magazines at company parties.

we need to take over the world.

The nudity we approve of...

The crack pipe not so much...

he gives crackheads a bad name...

I don't understand the charges of 'open lewdness' and 'indecent exposure'. Trespassing and drug possession sure ... But am I to assume that the Upper Allen Township police would also arrest the owners of the property should they ever dare to exercise the unusual option of nude soaking in their hot tub in the middle of the night?

As usual, Naturist Mark make an excellent point on the "open lewness" and "indecent exposure' charge. My asumption, is that they chose to "throw the book" at this guy and charge him with anything they could possibly dream up. At any rate, it is beyond stupid to go into someone's hot tub (clothed or naked) without permission and to add to the stupidity-bring along a crack pipe.

Oh, I am really confused then. My initial reading was that decent exposure, private drunkenness, and covert lewdness were all acceptable in Upper Allen Township. But then, like EwanM, I initially worried about cracked hot tub pipes. (My therapist says I'm adjectively-challenged.) Anyway, at least the guy didn't claim to be a nudist!
