Nude at the gas station

I was driving home from the beach and needed gas. I pulled into a small, decrepit gas station having only two pumps. I couldn't tell if it was full serve or self serve. I was contemplating staying nude at the gas station.

I had a sarong with me which I could drape over my lap or wrap around me if I had to get out of the truck. I looked over my shoulder to see if anyone was coming out, but saw no one.

All of a sudden there was a young guy (about age 16) at my window. He had been in a tiny booth just ahead of my truck and I hadn't seen him. I thought to myself "OK, it's full serve."

There was no doubt that he saw that I was nude. As the cat was out of the bag, so to speak, I decided that I would do what I always do when nude in public -- act naturally.

I asked for a fillup. After starting the gas flowing, I saw the guy pick up his squeegee to clean the windows, but then put it down again. Either he wanted to minimize contact or he figured that a nude guy wasn't going to complain about not getting full service.

He came back to my window with the credit card voucher and waited while I signed for the gas. I thought about thanking the guy for being cool with my nudity, but decided that it was probably best to say nothing.

The shocking thing about this little slice of life was that the fillup cost me $97!

the most terrifying part of the story is the price you paid for a fill up of gas. you certainly are gaining confidence through your experiences. nice you escaped the law.

I have to agree with Keith. At today's gas prices, you should be able to purchase it any damn way you like! Paid $3.41 a gallon today! What a scandal! LOL!

At todays prices you should be able to stand there nude and watch them while they fill it up for you.

That sounds like a good idea for a story Gary, but I probaly would have chickened out on it too, but it was a great thought.With these prices as they are, the stations should at least hire some nudist , Male and female to come out and pump your gas, now there's another good thought.

That does sound like a great idea. I would love to do it. However, I would say, "It's costing me so much for gas that I can't afford to buy clothes." Normally in Oregon we have the highest gas prices in the contentinal US however now all I can do is gloat - $2.69!

Tell us more -- was this full serve or self-serve pay at pump, or what? Modern gas bar with security cameras or old fashioned gas station type? Did the employees know that you were nude?

Self Serve gas station. I use my bank card at the pump. Others getting gas at the same time but at other pumps every time I've done it, usually on the opposite side then I'm on.

I get out of my car, with just flip flops on, do the bank card thing, begin pumping the gas and stand there until the tank is full.

A couple of times, other cars arrived and the drivers started getting gas themselves. No one really noticed that I was naked, it was a warm morning so being without a shirt was normal.

One time a female customer drove up, got out of her car as I was putting the nozzle into the gas tank fill, she was on the other side of the pump and her view of my body was blocked but could see my face, she smiled, said "good morning", began pumping her gas and then got into her car. I finished, got my receipt and got into my SUV and drove to work. That's the closest I've come to being seen. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Then, one early morning, I was the only one there and since I drive to work nude all the time, I thought I'd give it a go. Actually the first couple of times, after I put the nozzle into the tank fill, I got back in the car, then for a couple of times after that, I kept the door open, after that I began standing there and pumping the gas nude and just watching for others that may drive up.

That time I mentioned with the female.....that was a bit scary. If she had seen me I'm not sure what I would have said. I'm sure I would have thought of something but you never know what someone's gonna do when confronted with public nudity. Sorry to see Your problem with a gasoline pricing. Just the enormous advantage You Americans had a years and years, at last have ended. Now You all are in the same puddle as we Europeans.

Only advantage that most of You have far more serious incomes. Our salaries are enough to fill a two such cans of Gasoline as Gary did at MONTH and all salary is spended (and forget a eating, dressing or flat rental).

After Florida hurricane we Latvians what had a similar advantage survived a new shochwawe, a petrol price jumped from 0,66 to 0,71 Brittish pounds a liter. Just a last year it cost a 0,38 but pre-last 0,25..... Experts are prognozing that price will stabilize around 1,1...1,2 pound level, perhaps. But "perhaps higher". Really "consolatory" news.

Believe or not - but life hadnt been stopped due this nightmare. And what is most surprizing, it means no less cars on the streets.....
