See my post today in "Nudes in the News" if you have ever wondered about nudism as a part of the economy, your personal budget, or its "bottom line" value.
Thanks,

I'd have to say that the Prof and I are...ONTRACK.
What makes us this way...........she does. If it weren't for her, I'd be broke but she keeps us on top of the water.
We both have saved for retirement. We both belong to good retirement systems. I have a couple of ideas still brewing in my brain for nudist business opportunites soon after we do retire.
We are fortunate that we both have good jobs and are able to contribute, donate and join many various nudist org's and receive the publications that go along with membership. I tend to pay for memberships a few years in advance, for me it's not because I can afford to, it's because I can't afford to forget about it and let them lapse, nudism is worth it to me.
I think too many nudists take for granted what the large organizations like, AANR, TNS and NAC do for our lifestyle. Though I have never been to an organized naturist convention, conference or gathering, I was in politics for 12 years and understand how many decisions are made and how much work many of these people, associated with these organizations, do that many of us don't see.
We need this "mix", you refer to, in our lives. Too many people nowadays, family and friends included, focus way too much on professional priorities and not enough on their personal ones. We don't routinely take days off from work but recognize the need to get away from professional/work related responsibilities and get back in touch with our personal priorities.
I hope I answered your questions.

I echo Fireprof's statements and I know exactly what he means. But the true 'worth', personally, isn't exactly meaning to be nude as a personal preference, so to speak.
True, I would love to be nude as much as possible, but it would depend on the 'family' interests at the time. I would love to be nude 24/7 but due to personal situatons, that will never be accomplshed.
Since there are no 'resorts' in my area, I cannot really commit myself to be a 'full time' nudist. Don't get me wrong, but I would love to be a nudist 24/7, but there is no way that would be accomplished, at least at this time.
I applaud those who could do this. I would love to be able to live my life nude all the time, but like I said, not at this time.
Now back to the question, what is nudism worth to me? Personally, it means a great deal, which means living truely 'clothesfree". It means I could live my life as a nudist, and totally comfortable with it.
I envy those who can live to the fullest being nude 24/7, but around here, it is not in the best of interests. I'll just live my life at this time at what has been dealt to me.
Great question.

What is nudism worth to me. It's the right to feel good about myself. Enjoy how I was born I think it make me feel young all the time still a kid in my mine.I like praying in the nude.I get naked and sometimes I feel the stress of the day saying see you later. It the great feeling of sleeping nude and getting the best sleep around, then getting up the next day and get breakfast nude and ready for bad word work. Great day to all.

What is nudism worth? Good question.
I sleep nude every night, and enjoy it. I seek nude clubs and resorts for my vacations. And I don't have to pack much. It's not unusual for my girlfriend and I have dinner at home sans clothing.
When I retire in four yrs I hope to relocate to a naturist club/resort.
It's not about money. It's the wonderful feeling of NOT having to get dressed every day and being comfortable with that concept. Many other people could not do that.
Peace to all. Rick and Jerri

Nuddism is worth my sanity. I was suffering from SAD Seasonal Affective Disorder. which means I get very depressed in the winter months and it effects my sleeping. It got so bad that I ended up in the Hospital after taking many panic attacks. I was sent to a Shrink, thats where I was dianogsed with SAD. I still take antidepressents but know I will be nude for 3 months in florida during the winter Jan Feb Mar I get thru the depression. being nude really relieves the tension, stress, and lack of sunlight in the winter. The days are a little longer in Fla during the winter, which helps a lot. I can honestly say that Nudism has really saved my life, depression is a horrible desease and anyone who suffers with it knows what I mean. Thank god for nudism, without it I surely would be dead by now. Its the greatest natural medicine in the world.

There was a time in my life when I pretty much arranged my calender and my life around nudism. I was nude 90 percent of the time at home. I went to the nude beach near my home 3-4 times a week. I would attend nudist house parties once a month and go to the nude resorts near my home a couple of times a month. I was over doing things though because my wife wasn't going with me to most of these activities.
I did get her to go with me some of the time but I finally realized I needed to drastically scale back my nude activities and re-prioritze my life. I now spend very little time nude most of that around my house. I have a nude resort nearby I go to a few times in the summer and I have plans to build a deck on the back of my house with a hot tub and it is secluded enough to promote nudity. So this will be my main outlet in the future.
I love nudism. I still incorporate it in my life. But I have realized, the hard way, that there are more important things in my life, mainly my family. If I have to make some changes to my nude lifestyle to ensure I still have a family I will. I wish I had a little more nude time in my life and maybe in the future I will but for now I need to put my families wishes first.
So what's it worth to me? Well a whole lot but not more than my family.

Right on, David. For a few different reasons, however.
I do not suffer from any clinical situtations, but I do work in a high-stress job and nudism affords a break and a relaxation.
I live 33 miles from a landed club where we have a membership, and we belong to three non-landed clubs in the area which hold events throughout the winter months. And we take two nudist vacations a year -- one to Cypress Cove, one to Eastover.
Without that, I might not be alive. It's also a forced break from work.
So it's worth my sanity, as well.

A whole lot. It saved my life. I conquered my dissability with nudism. I live for "being nude as much as possible", kind of an addiction.

Very interesting the different perspectives.
For me it would never rise to the level of a cause or something that would be definitive of my personality, character or being. But, it something that I enjoy, and certainly would add my voice or contributions to any effort to forestall the curtailment of the opportunities for nude socialization and recreation.
