Some probs with the forums

I have been having some unusual problems with these forums and I am wondering if anyone here can help me to diagnose. I use Netscape as my browser and numerous times, the forums, specifically forum number 1, will sometiems freeze up Netscape. I will then have to close all Netscape windows, and even have to ctrl-alt-delete to close the Netscape program fully. The only other pages that this is a problem are those that give pop-ups, but with much less frequency.

It usually happens when I am going back to the main forum 1 page while I am looking at another page on another Netscape that I have opened.

Also related problems, pages that don't completely load and I have to push the "Reload" button. This happens a lot when I open up the "Reply to message" in another window.

More problems to come later on, but I am trying to keep my messages short.

Hi Bob S.,
I will log on with Netscape 7.01 and check it out. I haven't heard of anyone else having those problems yet. Anyway, please let me know which version of Netscape you are using. Thanks!

I believe it is the latest version. I haven't heard of any new versions come out since I got it. Of course, that doesn't guarentee anything, but I believe it is 7.01.

I tested it in Netscape and it seems to be fine. But that was after I did a scheduled maintenance last night on the forums. That included purning posts, clearing cache, rebuilding forum stat files, rebuilding search index, updating user post histories and rebuilding member stat files. In English, that means it might work better for you. Let me know. Thanks!

How many other sites do you visit?

As for that page not loading, that is a known bug in the recent versions of Mozilla (which Netscape is based on). In previous versions I got the page that didn't load completely, now I usually get the grey window with nothing from the page in it.
