Question: Do! what I call seasoned and dedicated members of the naturist community think of any singles especially males being excepted as part of the naturist community, enjoying like the other members being a nudist/naturist.
Due to society this particular subject can cause controversy about singles being excepted into a naturist club/or swimming group. I fully respect and support the reasons why any respectable club refuses or limit their singles membership into their club not knowing anything a about that person and predicting the persons reasons wanting to join a club of people who enjoy life and recreation without clothes.
Would every person agree an average single person wishers just to enjoy being a nudist like the rest of the community and wishes to meet others who share in there particular interest, I agree that committees, owners should be very vigilant on the single members especially if the club is a family club or resort.
Why Wouldn?t it be possible to have these singles to have a probationary period as well have them attend only attent on certain days where they can allowed to participate within the clubs activates with fellow naturist?
Personal reasons why I brought this topic up:
I am a single 35 year old male, living in the north west of the Uk, and I would like to join a respectable group /club or swim.
Just because am not in a relationship or have a wife or family I am very dough full that ill ever be excepted to a respectable naturist organization/club, I have joined the British Naturist Association and received my membership card as well as joining the I.N.A but going to America would be not possible. I am afraid of flying?
Being put into a category of being un-trust worthy without investigating the person?s reasons for applying to become a member of a respectable club/swim could make a person bier?s towards clubs, that they only except certain people i.e. like private country clubs.
My interest to become a naturist has been with me since my early teens and the only way I can experience what naturisms is all about is through books, magizeens and vidieos/cds.
I would like to here other naturist?s opinions both members of a established respectable organization/club and single naturist views on if their could there be a reform within all naturist community to give all including singles a chance to experience naturist with fellow naturist people.

I've only been into social nudism about 2 and a half years although I'm 57, divorced, with two grown daughters and four grandkids. It's been mentioned many times here, especially by me, about the lack of acceptance of unmarried men at nudist venues.
I doubt if that discrimination will ever change, but we can only hope. I've had people tell me, "You need to get a girlfriend." Personally, I prefer "women" and not "girls", and they never bother telling me where to find an unattached middle aged female nudist. I was allowed to join one nudist club but was told I would be "watched". That really made me feel "accepted".
From what I've learned it seems that most nudists agree with "gender balance", which is one way to keep unwanted, unmarried men out by saying, "Sorry, we've reached our quota of singles today. Call back another time." It wouldn't even have to be true, but how would we know? Some places just outright refuse admittance to singles--period. A few--very few--places are friendly and accepting of singles. I noticed that the one I go to added in their Web site that they have a "gender balance" since they have new owners. I don't remember that being in there before. With 160 acres to roam around on, I wouldn't think they would ever get full and have to turn anyone away. I visited the resort in my city once and was made to feel unwelcome. Anyone I've mentioned the resort to who knows about it says that they're unfriendly toward everyone. So I go to Turtle Lake Resort a half hour drive away.

I am very fortunate to be involved with an organization that accepts anyone regardless of age, marital status, or sexual orientation. Their belief is that the group's spirit will drive out gawkers or others of ill will. But from what I've read, this is an exception in the U.S. (I don't know about the U.K.)
You might have better luck in continental Europe.

Hi Jon mark and Jochanaan,
Thankyou for replying to my post about singles introduction into the naturist community,
Jon Marc,
I totally agree about the introduction of single males into clubs/ organizations discrimination will never change to the full integration of all despite of there sex, maturity, age or race to enjoy being a naturist on equal terms.
When they said to you that you need a girlfriend although what the meant perhaps is a woman, are they saying that to make them more comfortable around you? If they say that they are watching me that would make me uncomfortable although I have nothing to hide and would enjoy myself being alone BUT I would be extra vigilant incase they try to make a excuse to get rid of me.
Unlike the I.N.A I tried to put a proposal to the British Naturism to introduce a forum or support me in running a yahoo group I would promote the British Naturism and the paragraphs below is what I got back off them.
From An British naturist officer:
Hi
Thanks for your email regarding setting up a forum for members to communicate.
We did have this on our site, but to manage it, was a lot of work for our Webmaster who was a volunteer. Everyone has their own personal opinion on naturism and other subjects, and we felt that our site was not the place to express personal opinions.
Unfortunately my staff or I would not have the time to monitor the group, nor would be want to post information on behalf of the organization.
We do have marketing meetings every 3 months, if you wish I could put your email to them for there consideration, our next meeting is in January 2003.
?What is an organization for if not to share among fellow naturist their personal experiences and opinions on the future of naturism in the UK? Ill wait for the reply, witch probley COM to nothing with the marketing committee?
Thank you for your reply. I will put your email to the Marketing Group at our next meeting.
Re: benefit of being a member, by being a member you are supporting the movement, on such issues as Sexual Offences Bill, beaches, byelaws etc. I know of a lot of single mature males that are members of clubs, I am sure if you were to contact a club in your area you would not find it that difficult to become a member, but I know some of the clubs are out of the way and transport can be difficult.
?But I do have problems trying to getting to clubs, they didn?t tell me where these people are?
So Jochanaan You are lucky to have a respectable and understanding club that you can goes to hope you fully enjoy the club and good luck to you mate.
