I waited patiently for summer and now it goes and gets broiling hot way too early. Ten a.m. and already too hot to be out by the pool here in North Texas. Forecast 101 today and similar for the entire five day forecast.
Pool water sure is warm, though.

101 degrees is a little warm, but then again, it sure makes the pool that more enjoyable. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

I heard about the triple digit temeperature on the west coast. Can you bring some heat and humidty in NYC. We are in need of it. We are experiencing unusual cool weather for this time for year. Try to enjoy it as much as you can....

Dear Pieguy.
I do not know what part of our country you come from as you have never said where, however I can assure you that here in Adelaide we have been very cold for the last few weeks.
An associate of mine said that a few nights back in Hobart where he lives, the minimum overnight temperature was -3C.
I would presume Melbourne was its usual cold and rainy self for this time of the year.

I can remember living in Conway NH where in January the warmest recorded temp for the whole month was -5F and wind chill was -80 to -100 below zero F. The radio would caution people about going outside with out facial cover to avoid freezing your face.

That kind of cold I do NOT miss one bit. Nor the snow either. But there are those who love it so they can have my share.

PieGuy, what are you complaining about ? I think you come from Brisbane somewhere and I thought Brisbane allways has balmy warm weather, even in winter.

Spare a thought for me, yesterday I went outside at about 8am to get firewood walking barefooted and bare everything across the frosty lawn when the temp was 28F (-2C)

Dear Mr. OzJames.
If he comes from Brisbane, like Queenslanders generally he will never know the real meaning of the word "cold", unlike we more southern people.
The real joke of the whole situation is that Queensland has the best and warmest weather of all the Australian states, yet it has no legal nudist beaches or areas.
Anita, Wayne and various activists are doing a magnificent job to bring about such a legal nudist beach, unfortunately the media and voters think otherwise.
