Hi all, It is looking like I will be going to Marco Island, FL this summer and I would like to visit a nude beach for a day or two. I know that Haulover is about 2 or so hours away but I would like something a bit closer so I can vist more frequently. I am open to resorts that allow day trips but those need to be CO because my wife is still a little shy/nerovus about going nude in plublic.

I grew up in Florida....but I've never heard of Marco Island.

What city is it nearest to?

You are going to like Marco. I have a boss who owns a condo there and every so often I fly down with he and his wife for a weekend. Unfortunantly I could not tell you of any nudist activities there, nor did my boss know of any when I asked. I guess keep looking and enlighten us if you find anything.

Marco is great! I have been there twice. I don't know of any nude beaches or resorts there. However, Marco is pretty close to Naples & not too far from fort Myers. There are some resorts in those areas.

There are three non-landed clubs in the Naples/Ft Myers area, and from what I know, Edun Lake is a landed club -- modest, but good.

Also keep in mind that when a club defines itself as "nudist" - it doesn't mean that you must absolutely disrobe. While nearly every club will have rules where you must be nude to use the pool or sauna or jacuzzi/spa, most (considerate) clubs will allow a reluctant spouse to get used to nudity at his/her own pace, within reason.

Marco Island is about 30miles SW of Naples. There is no Nude Beach.

Joe Nudist is right -- there are no nude beaches on the Southwest Florida coast. I routinely go to Haulover as a result. The best hope you have is to contact www.sanibelnaturists.com, (http://www.sanibelnaturists.com,) or www.edunresort.com (http://www.edunresort.com). Sanibel has a private beach, but does not access it daily. Edun has no beach but is a nice small resort that may accept you on a daily basis.
