Hi, 29 and married here, from Maryland, not too far from Va. My wife is sometimes into nudist activities too. Into hiking and generally enjoying the outdoors (tho not terribly fit!) We'll probably head down to White Tail Park this summer... I'll let you all know of our plans if you're interested. And let me know if you're ever further north!

I have tried to meet other nudists too and I feel more comfortable with members of my own sex. I am happily married and spending time nude with women right now kind of scares me. I don't find it unusual for someone to want to be nude socially looking for people of the same sex. I think it's a good way to start. IMHO

well hopefully he found some friends, maybe the original dude who posted here can tell us if he had any luck making friends (male or female). i can see how someone might want to make friends with members of the same sex. as a guy, a lot of my work friends are women, i have always made friends with women easier than men. but i am not sure if they would appreciate it if i wanted to get naked with them, unless they already expressed interest in nudism. i'm not sure my wife would be too keen on it either. but i would enjoy the company of a guy to take walks or go kayaking, etc. sometimes people need friends of the same sex and they are not interested in a romantic relationship.

I agree or can understand what the initial post was saying- am a newbie -basically home nudist and would enjoy meeting male friends on a one to one basis and see if i am cut out for social nudity-as would like to go to a resort at some point but figure its better to get ur feet wet instead of jumping in at full force -figure if I am shy clothed going into a group of strangers - going in nude might be just a bit too traumatic

Here is my 2 bits on why someone of a specific gender would look for someone of the same...it looks really bad for someone who is in a relationship to go in search of someone of the opposite gender /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I have an an aquaintance who keeps wanting to go along with me when I go to the beach and as a safe guard to my own reputation refuse to tell him when I am going...better for same genders to go together than opposite genders and risk more than a days outing even if nothing does take place /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

All it takes is for one person to say something they shouldn't for the words to scatter in the wind...

Ummmm thanks for stating the obvious. Where in the hell did this come from? What does it have to do with this thread? I understand Crydons statement (after all sexuality COULD play into why someone would want to look for someone of the same sex) but have no idea where and why this statement came up.

Hi Mike:

I plan to to bike in the D.C. area late this summer and would like to know if you would be interested in tagging along? 40 to 50 miles a day at a moderate pace sight-seeing the Mall, Mount Vernon Trail, Rock Creek, C&O Towpath, and The W&OD Trail. If you have any others to add...I'm all ears. 3 to 4 days most probably during the week, staying at selected Inns that best fit the routes chosen. It appears that you wouldn't mind sharing accomodations and that works for me. Any secluded areas along the way are always an invitation for "nude" rest stops and some fun in the sun. If you are a novice biker, I can set a comfortable pace and even provide you with one of my other bikes if you don't have one of your own. I will be nude anytime possible and hope you will join me as well. I hope you have some interest in this and drop me a line.
