So over the weekend I have developed some sort of rash, all over my body. I have no idea what it was, it arrived quickly, doesn't itch too bad, but is everywhere, feet, hands, arms, torso, back, legs, face, you name it.

So because it scared me and my family I went to the Doctor yesterday, and while informing me that I needed to take 3 pills a day that I should also, take cool showers, and to stay naked as much as I could to let air get to the rash. I of course thought this was the best medical advice I ever received, and couldn't wait to get on here and post so I could share with all of you.

Hope you enjoyed this short little story, and yes the rash is indeed getting better. Thanks! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/stickdance.gif

It's amazing what a little bit of air and sunshine can do. What a healthy way to live!

Thanks for the story.

I hope you are able to stop itching soon! I had that happen last year. Stress was a major factor for me, as was some food I think. I also changed laundry detergent and lotions etc, since those were concerns as well. When you do wear clothes, cotton is one of the best choices.

Good luck!

Laundry detergent has done it to me. I'm sensitive to many detergents. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/confused.gif

I have to be careful what soap I use to wash my face, I usually use unscented soaps, 'Simple Soap' being one of the products, and the one I use most often is 'Dove' as I get no reaction from them.

The worst reaction I got was using the Queens soap, well not her personal soap, its the government issue stuff we had in the forces, it was stamped 'E.R' just so we knew who we were working for!! I found myself at RAF Lyneham staying overnight before flying out early the next morning, I used the soap which I found in the sink only to find that I got a violent reaction, my face went red, and was very sore for days afterwards, I never used the Queens soap again.

I'm just as careful which detergent I use as I've had a reaction to clothes washed in some products, I always avoid Bio detergents.

I would love to go and see this doctor! With my condition, if this could cure it, I would follow the doc's orders.

Better yet, get the doctor's advice in black on white. Then you are able to show it to your neighbors, police etc., to anyone who is concerned about your nudity.

And if you do get this in black and white would you send me a copy and I will white out your name and add my own.

don't want to scare anyone or try second guess the doctor but i'll let you know what is happening at our house. my wife had surgery in june when a blood doctor found she had a rare liver decease, not a condition such as too much alcohol. now she itches all over & it also has red bumps like the hives. her doctor said most people ending going to a dermatologist & the real problem isn't discovered till later. we have a nephew who is a pathologist & he said it can get to the point that a liver transplant is needed. she goes back in January for a biopsy. i like the doctor saying to stay nude as much as possible but her doctor hasn't said that dang it.
stay nude and stay happy--I'm always happier when I'm nude ---pahjo

When living in the tropics getting rashes between the legs just happened. So hot and humid. I remember going to the doctor and him remarking "most dont wear underware here you need to breath down there" so I ditched the briefs and wore cool loose shorts or nude when possible. Actually my wife had a similar problem and she was blaming me. She ditched the panties and well we recovered.

I have heard of let the air get to your skin rash and going nude is the best cure, Just like having jock itch etc the air needs to get to the site. Also using tanning for some skin problem and you go nude tanning been used for skin problem .The body needs to breath. So go nude and let you body take in the air.

Well the rash is doing much better, I have been letting my skin "breathe" as much as I can while having to be out and about with holiday preparations and what not. The only area that it is on me now is around my midsection, no more on my face or hands or arms or anything like that so that is great news.

You are right I should have gotten it in writing, I would have scanned it and posted it here for you to "borrow" as needed. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/tongue.gif

Nice advice. Since the rash was caused by an irritant of some kind, I guess going nude could be a good suggestion.

I know, the last time I visited a doctor, he told me to go on a diet. So to this day, I am still searching for another doctor with another 'remedy'. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/rolleyes2.gif (sorry for being off topic)

Personally, whenever I used to wear underwear, I developed a rash, which went away when the underwear went along with it. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/smoking.gif

I normally go nude around the house and garden and I had noticed that if I wore clothes for long periods I developed small red spots, which cleared up quickly once I went nude again. However a couple of winter ago, I remained clothed for most of the time and the red spots developed into full-blown eczema. Prescribed steroid creams made matters even worse and I developed bleeding sores. I decided that I had to go around nude whenever possible and by just applying moisturizer, the eczema has virtually cleared up. I find that after just a few hours wearing clothes, I begin to feel slightly itchy and a spot and general redness will appear under my foreskin. I understand that the red spots are a sign of yeast spores, which thrive in dark damp conditions, so clothes make the ideal environment. Fortunately most of my friends, relations and neighbours accept me going around nude. My 94 year old mother in law has got so used to it, that I doubt whether she would recall whether I was nude or not, if asked later! My mother in law, sister in law (wife’s sister) will be staying over Christmas night and whilst I will probably remain dressed for the more formal part of the day, I shall probably be nude by the evening and definitely the next morning!

I cannot wear silk undewear, causes a rash every time and is difficult to get rid of. I firmly believe fresh air is good for the skin, that is one reason I am naked as much as possible.

Just as a matter of historical interest Winston Churchill had sensitive skin subject to rashes from clothing irritation. To combat it he wore only silk underwear, slept between silk sheets, and spent as much time at home nude as he could. As a result he had several funny incidents involving female guests who unexpectedly saw far more of Winston than they were expecting.
