I haven't talked my wife into going to a nudist establishment. What is proper etiquette when you need to get suntan lotion on your back? Could you ask the person next to you or what? I've never been to a nudist organization so I don't know.
Also, how can I talk my wife into going...she doesn't even know I have a password to the INA yet...help!!!

Hi Midlife -
I see that actually it is easy to "kill two birds with one stone" here (although I do not advocate killing birds in general http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif).
First, just be honest with your wife about wanting to go to a nudist club.Perhaps you could get a free copy of "The Bulletin" from AANR (800/TRY-NUDE) to introduce her to nudism in a positive light. They also used to have a brochure on nudism from a woman's perspective. In any case, thay can give you additional recommendations. Give her some timke to digest these resources.
Also remember, many clubs are "clothing optional" so there's no pressure for her to go nude. Make sure she is aware of this.
If she is apprehensive still, think of asking if you can go together on a weekday, when fewer people tend to be around.
As far as your question about sunscreen, well, hopefully she'll be with you to put it on your back. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Good Luck!

Hi midlife
Just do like I do and get a small paint roller with a long handle and you should be able to reach every spot on your back. My wife bought me one because my back is so hairy http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif she said that her hands get sore trying to rub in the tanning lotion. It works really good and gives you a massage at the same time. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I asked this question myself awhile ago and someone post this link [URL=www.lotionsourse.com] I was able to get a back applicator that works very well for about $5

Try http://www.lotionsource.com instead. It's a common mistake that I always make.

I simply ask someone nearby to put lotion on the parts of my back I can't reach. Never had a problem with that.

I like the spray ons - I have a lot of hair and the spray ons are easier to distribute evenly.
I love the Australian Gold spray on gel SPF15 ... But I can't find it anymore. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
I tried Banana boat spray on oil (SPF 15) on a recent trip to the Dominican Republic, but I ended up with a bad case of sun poisoning. Probably due to the "oil" factor. But, maybe due to not being used to the strong sun and not "easing into the sun" when we got down there.
If anyone sees the Australian Gold spray on gel SPF15, please let me know where to find it.... http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Inovative device for sun tan exposure, and reasonable considering the dangers of over exposure:
Suntan Timer (http://www.brookstone.com/shop/product.asp?product_code=495945&world_code=6&category_code=54&subcategory_code=585&search_type=subcategory&prodtemp=t1&cm_ven=Email&cm_cat=080205&cm_pla=E&cm_ite=Sub_495945&cm_lm=)

I would stick with the same sex person, so you don't send a wrong message. Usually a friendly looking one. Another option is Yoga. http://clothesfreeforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
As far as the wife. That's a little more tricky.

You should be able to reach all areas of your back if you use the back of your hand as opposed to the palm of your hand.

My husband and I put lotion on each others back and never thought anything of it. Why would there be a problem?

Uh, no, not me. I used to be able to do that when I was a lot younger but I have trouble now. I have a small paint roller that I use to reach the middle of my back but I still find I usually miss a spot.

Why would this be a problem? Does someone really think so?

No, but the topic is about a man whose wife isn't there with him.
