While your there check and see if my "house" is still there just south of the Ruinas.

I left my hammoca tied between two palms on the beach when I left Tulum Pueblo back aways!

(Oh, BTW, I am serious, and could you also check in and see that the five little bundles of joy I helped deliver in the jungle just inland from the Ruinas are doing ... they'd be in their mid-twenties now.)

Thanks.

Actually 2 Canadians got their throats cut in bed at a Mayan resort about a year or so ago and there have been a couple of more murders of Canadian tourists since. In all cases the Mexican authorities tried to hush it up and culprits never found.

Much as I have loved Mexico in the past this frightens me and I would make sure I had my insurance well paid up if going.

OK...now I remember hearing about that one...but I was informed by a friend within law enforcement with the Mexican goverment that it was actually a professional hit...and that the people had been into some shady dealings...we have been to the Mayan Riviera from Cancun to Tulum multiple times (over 30 times) and 20 of those within the past 6 years...and have never had any problems...but thanks for the heads up... http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif
