I have seen references on various sites regarding South Beach (Miami) as a nude or c/o beach. Has any one been to the purported nude portion of South Beach? If so, I would be interested in knowing where it is in relation to the total beach area.

I have only heard of South Beach being topfree, not nude.

Haulover is the only nude beach I am aware of in the Miami region.

My understanding is that if you walk to the southern end of "south beach" you will find (mostly Male) some nudity.
It may not be totally legal like it is at Haulover, and I might not have good information. I havn't bothered to go that far south.
Haulover is good enough for me.

i have been to south beach in 2002 and have not encountered nude sunbathers there, but maybe that has changed in the years since.

No, South Beach is not nude. You will see some topless models http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif , not nudity aside from topless. Just drive 15 minutes north and enjoy Haulover where you can go nude.
