Hi All,

We've been to Jamaica 3times (Sunset Beach in Mo Bay) Liked each vist and spent time on the nude beach.
We're looking to go to Mexico next May for our 2nd anniversary. We want an all inclusive resort that has clothing optional facilities (beach / pool). The resort does not have to be nude all the time. My wife is a little shy about that, but did enjoy the nude beach in Jamaica. We are NOT swingers so that type of resort would definately be out. Currently looking at Caribbean Reef Club, Hidden Beach (which seems very pricey).
Does anyone have any suggestions, experiences etc. Remember my wife is shy about being nude all the time, while I not really.

Any and all help appreciated.

Jim

I will be watching for responses to your question.

My wife and I are celebrating 15 next year and are looking for somewhere in the caribbean with CO beaches, but she is not really comfortable with a resort where nudity is expected at all times (or even most of the time). She, too, is a little shy.

We have done St. Martin, St. Barts and Jamaica and are looking for something and somewhere different. All inclusive isn't necessary, just a location that has CO beaches or facilities that are available to the public, like those at Club Orient in St. Martin.

(Hopefully there will be suggestions for buth of us! Good Luck and Happy anniversary.)

I was surfing the web and came across this possability... Playa Sonrisa, south of Playa del Carmen. Know nothing about it but perhaps someone else could comment.

Playa Sonrisa was the first down south nudist resort that my wife and I visited - a wonderful place and great hosts - great for a couple who is not quite sure

I looked at Playa Sonrisa for my last vacation, but thought it was a little too far off the beaten path. I enjoy peace and quiet, but only 5 couples at the most for an entire week might be a little too peacefull.

My wife had safety issues with the long drive and needing Cash for everything.
I'd like to hear more about the place. Things like how much it really costs once you figure in the car rental, and food and beverage for a week.

You are right - very far off beaten path but worth it for a first venture into a resort where one can be naked. We came from Canada and actually had to fly to Merida because the Cancun airport airport was closed after the hurricane.

Felt very safe there and although a long drive there were quite good roads except the last 3 miles along the beach road.

We actually stayed 2 weeks and for a couple of days were the only ones there other than the owners. They only served the evening meal 4 days a week so had to have car to visit other textile places within 3 or 4 miles.
Would be difficult to give you a cost as we are Canadians but found the car expensive (I think about $600 US for 2 weeks) and of course flying was fairly expensive but we had a long way to go.

Once there food was very cheap (also good) and other than that we had little to spend money on.

If you want any more info let me know.

All I can say is that this was the first resort that my wife got naked at and has lead us to visit several others since.

I have been going to Tulum for several years, and the beaches are pretty liberal when it come to nudity. Most of the resorts are small,10-20 rooms/cabanas. Sometime it is 110 yards or more between resorts or onyone on the beach. It is what postcards pictures are made of. Cabanas Copal is the most open about being nude, but never the norm or any pressure. But, do not expect modern conveniences. We love the place, but it is not for everyone. They have a website, but I am not certain what it is. Tulum beach area offers plenty of places to eat, as well as in town. Again , do not expect the big lights of Cancun.

There is also Playa Naturale.

we highly recommend Hidden Beach Resort...about an hour south of cancun...it is small..only 42 rooms...so not too crowded...and the service is the best we have ever found at any nude resort...most of the staff will know your name by the 2nd day...(thats why we have been there 12 times already)...you do not have to be nude all the time...such as while eating etc...which my wife likes because she does not like to eat nude...and there is lots of privacy in the beach palaypa beds...and you can even save 30% off the room rate if you book thru the HBR/Rowdys special offer at this e-mail... rowdys@exotictravelers.net ...and FYI..Caribbean Reef Club is no longer open...Cheers !!!

I was at Cabanas Copal for 2 weeks in November and thought it was a great place. Yoga every morning, great food at reasonable prices, great beach clothed or not. No electricity in the cabanas at night, but lots of candles. The staff is excellent, especially Ulysses.
PM for pictures.
