Sorry! I thought I mentioned it above, but I guess it was a bit ambiguous. I made this poll first because I was curious as to the results, and second to see if I couldn't get the debate moved out of the thread I made announcing my new avatar, and into this one. It may or may not work, but I figured I'd try. Plus I think that due to the controversy raised in that other thread, getting the actual facts out would probably be a good thing (besides, it seems that since most men don't know, it'd be cool for them to find out for themselves even if they don't tell everyone).

Well, this is interesting.... I suspect a few will find this whole poll idea bothersome, but whatever, it has some clear context as was indicated.

In any case, I didn't have a clue when I first saw the poll, so I figured I'd best consult some photos.... And, I learned something... I selected "Some other position (please post to specify)" because I vary..... "Resting on my scrotum" is definitely the most probable, however, but I also tend to be a "lefty" sometimes. To my surprise (just being honest, as I really didn't expect it), I also found a shot or two "Laying on my belly".

Well it depends on temperature, when cold your scrotum pulls closer to your body, so would push your penis up and it would probably stick up a bit, when warm it would just depend on how you sat down I think.

Well like "BlobbyBob" said it depends on room or area temperature, and if your on top of the bed or in bed, but when warm and relaxed the scrotum sack and the penis distends away from the body and become very flaccid and sort of easily sway or swing and hang one way or another.

I did the test and as "David77" said with me it depends what side of the bed or futon you lay down from as to what side the penis falls to down between the left or right leg and the scrotum sac. With me they are out of sight looking down in that direction also like he described with the model, and when warm and really relaxed the scrotum sack and penis I can feel just touch and rests on the bed spread or sheets, and once in a while over the center of the scrotum sack. If I position the penis up on the belly it will not stay there and falls to one side or the other.

I’m the older generation so I have some of that natural droop or distended when reclined or seated as mentioned in another thread, but when I stand up, walk, or upright the penis and ball sack retract much closer to the body, and if cold very close to the body as natures automatic regulating temperature control.

I think this will be a short lived thread as the selections are up, down left or right, or other, and in just this post information overload! or way more than anyone ought to know or care, but you asked and you got my results, so there!

Well Gary, I was kind of limited by the number of poll options that were availabe to me. It would have been cool if I could put as detailed results in as you gave and still cover all the bases, unfortunately five is just not enough *sigh*. That being said it was kind of cool to read all the information, just a how-do-you-do kind of thing. As for me, I'm the opposite of you, if I lay my penis on my scrotum, it won't stay there, it will lean towards one leg or the other, and if I leave it long enough it will eventually find its way onto my belly.

I can't say I've ever noticed a reduction in size when I get up and walk around, but I'll pay a bit more attention to it in the future.

I guess we will see someone doing a statistical analysis and we will have norms for various classes of males (young under 100 lbs, middle age over 200 lbs, and so on). I have to say this is pretty funny too, I never even noticed my penis while lying down on my back. If I am on a beach, I would lie on my stomach and tuck it to the side and I usually sleep on my stomach. But I checked and it dangles to the left.

I usually shy away from these questions...but I think I'll have some fun with this one.

I usually cross my ankles a lot. As a result, part of my penis and my whole scrotum are often tucked between my thighs instead of lying on top. As described by someone else, someone looking at me from the side would just see pubic hair. I figure most people would find that uncomfortable but it doesn't bother me. But when I've spent the day in the water and I have a bit of shrinkage going on, my penis tends to simply lay straight accross my scrotum, looking up.

I am sure that many female readers must wonder why males make such a fuss about their penises. It is probably the only part of the anatomy that acts independently and regularly makes its presence known. Most males will wake up in the morning with it standing to attention and going the loo makes you very familiar with it. It will vary in size according to the temperature or whether you are doing something active like running around. If you are uncircumcised it can be quite painful if pubic hair gets trapped and most seem to need to make “adjustments” from time to time. You can't ignore it!

Interesting question - and god to be able to share information like this, free from sexual innnuendo. Well, I voted for other so here is my post. When laying down, generally it lays in the crook of my left leg where the torso connects. I suppose if I was a bit thinner it would lay on my stomach, but I'm a hefty lefty and so he goes toward the left too. Go figure.

I wish I had a picture to show, but my situation is a bit unusual. My penis either lies to one side or . . .it sticks straight up toward the ceiling or sky (when I'm on my back). This is a funny poll. However, I have taken note for quite some time becuase mine tends to lay on my belly or points straight to the left. Both seem to draw more attention to the package in my humble opinion. The first few times I was nude in public amongst other people, it was very difficult to lie on my back for that reason. I'm more comfortable with it now.

My penis can hang straight down on my scrotum, but it has to be really hot, and I have to be very, very relaxed. Also, I would have to lie back slowly. Basically, the first time I get any bit of action down there, it will flip out of that position to the side position where it is more natural.

Hum. Interesting question. My study concludes that if I lay down (as in crawling on my bed) it's on my belly. If sleep on my side(s) and then turn on my stomach, my penis lays to the right or left. It all depends on the speed in which I turn, the temperature and if I'm having a pleasant dream or not.
