I used to attend some of the fall/winter meetings of the non-landed group in northern NJ. During one of those meetings, we had the pleasure of having a pregnant lady with us in the hot tub. She was encouraging each of us to feel her tummy. I did.

I've seen quite a few pregnant, nude women at the resort. It's normal. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif
Nothing to be worried about. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

I also have seen several pregnant woman at the club I belong to over the last few years .I always feel they add yet another dimension to the natural beauty of nudism.I feel a pregnant woman has a 'special beauty' about her.I also thought seeing a nudist mother breast-feeding her baby was a very special...and heart warming scene.

Hi!
In our naturist beach one young woman is waiting a baby, day by day. Perhaps next sunday it will be a past for her. The naked women near allways are ethalon of a beauty, yet pregnant is surely doublefold. Yet seems she is weak about foreign languages if she allready isnt here in clothesfree forum. Sad.

Congratulations mumkate:
I've only seen one woman who was expecting a child at one No.Calif club. The odd thing was she was pretty much full-term, about 30'ish (give or take). Members were concerned though since she was sitting in the jacuzzi and one person actually scolded her and told her to get out of there because he believed the hot temperature would be harmful to her unborn child's development. As to how long she was sitting in there it's hard to say. Since I've never had any children of my own, I'm not certain as to whether or not sitting in a jacuzzi would actually do any damage, although I've seen pregnant women smoke and drink alcohol which can certainly cause harm.
I would be interested in hearing what you and others' may think?

The pregnant woman you saw in the hot tub probably wasn't using the best judgement in her late term condition....or any stage of pregnancy for that matter. Of course, it depends on the length of time she was in there. 5-10 minutes shouldn't cause any concern but anything longer (depending on the tubs temperature) could raise her body core temp. which could endanger her fetus. Of additional concern would be bacteria in the water passing through the cervix (if her mucus plug had previously dislodged) and into the uterus. These are fairly rare complications but when pregnant...why take the chance!

Obviously being male....I have not "done so," but my wife and I have witnessed many, many pregnant nude females at the beach and resorts we have visited.
I think everyone of those women looked more beautiful nude and pregnant. They all seemed so comfortable and natural until....................someone went up and started to touch or rub their bellies. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif
A natural response from a friend, family member or aquaintance but I imagine these women get a bit tired of people rubbing or patting their tummies! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

I agree. pregnant women do have a special beauty. It is partly a biological response, but also spiritual one. They seem to have a "glow" about them.

a consciencious mom-to-be would check with a qualified physician before using a hot tub (or anything else that may impact the child); a consciencious host would politely remind a mom-to-be regarding this, I believe...

I'm personally not been but my wife has. You can think the look when she was waiting for twins. I can add that she has been also naturally in sauna while pregnant, as every woman do in this country

Don't you have birthing pools over there then? It is considerd an ideal way to give birth, the weightlessness makes mum more comfortable, and the baby is born into the water, no worries about infection or anything like that, a tried and tested method of childbirth.

Yeah, well whats so wrong with a hot tub when preggers then?
As someone said, there is nothing so beautiful as a woman with child, its a magical experience, I have an overwhelming urge to feel the bump, its as if I might absorb some of that magic.
Nude and pregnant are both natural states, so why not enjoy both together.

Exactly!
On the hottub part though.......it's the "hot" that is dangerous to the fetus. Any raise in body core temp. should be avoided during pregnancy. If a tub was at body temp. it wouldn't pose a problem.....such as a swimming pool.

You are correct. On my last visit to my local resort, a young couple visited and she was in the last few weeks of her pregnancy. She was stunningly beautiful. She sunned herself and drifted around the pool on a flotation thingie (I cannot remember the proper name...long thin thing you can wrap you arms around and float). Anyway, she seemed to relish the boyancy of the water! We all seemed blessed by her presence. Everyone there felt uplifted and I am sure she benefited by the waves of love and peace we all radiated.

I rarely come across a hot tub that is so hot that it would cause a problem, most of the time they are great for cooling down, but never hotter than you would run a bath at home, or do you do things differently over there.

That is very cool! I'm sure it felt good to swim and take the load off her body at that stage in pregnancy. I saw an adorable pregnant woman at the nude run I did in July. (She wasn't running, just spectating.) She looked gorgeous! I wish I'd been attending resorts way back then but I'm just glad we do now and that we haven't wasted any more nude years!

I'm sure you are right and hottub is much more dangerous than sauna because of the hot water contact. In my country pregnant women have had their weekly sauna baths as normal during the pregnacy wihtout problems.

Congratulation! Guess your new addition is already here. I actually started going nude around house when I was pregnant with my first kid 20 years ago. Regradabelly I wasn't a social nudist then. I would have been proud and happy to go to beaches and resorts while being pregnant. Ann - California

Well, obviously I haven't, but my wife was nude quite a bit with both of our kids. Both of our kids are late summer babies, and we lived in south Texas, so you can imagine the heat was almost unbearable. The only way for her to even approach being comfortable was to be completely nude. I can't tell you the number of times when I'd come home from the office only to find her stretched out on the couch, completely nude, with the ceiling fan going full blast!
We did discuss, very briefly, the possibility of an alternative birthing center, or even a home birth with a midwife. The idea of a more intimate situation where we could all be nude was attractive, but we stayed with the traditional route, and it was fine. There were many many times when we were able to lay with our son, all of us nude, and cuddle with each other. Of course, ever mindful of him "sprinking a leak".
