I e-mailed them several months ago asking whether they recommend their cruises for singles going stag and got no reply.

I would be interested if they could offer something close to gender balance in terms of single participants (assuming that most of these singles were going stag, rather than going as a couple).

In conventional singles cruises, the females outnumber males so I hear.

Trailscout, I don't know why you got no response, as this is a very reliable group. I'd say send another request. OTOH, they make NO distinctions that I'm aware of concerning singles and/or gender balance. The rules are just common-sense nudist etiquette. In fact, you don't even have to be a nudist although, as at resorts, AANR members get a better price.

There is a BB just like this one at the website. Read it and look for a user called "IAMLINDA." She is a single lady who informally organizes singles events and get-togethers whenever she goes on a cruise. missourigirl and I have been on two of them, but we've never met Linda. The population is bigger than many small towns!

The singles (textile) cruises you heard about probably reflect the fact that women outlive men, and they are widows. This is true everywhere, and it is that age-group who can most afford cruises, after all. He died, she's got all their money, and she wants a new mate! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I think many singles can afford cruises. I was on a singles cruise myself a few years ago and we had several hundred singles, and young women were a slight majority of the passengers.

The demographics of the passengers on a cruise would certainly have an impact of one's enjoyment.

Let's say I am a single nudist guy hoping to meet single nudist women who are in their late twenties up to late thirties, you can imagine that I would be disappointed if the nude cruise turned out to be a ship full of nude guys or old women.

Well if it were a bunch of guys, I guess we could dip snuff and spit the tobacco off the side of the boat, go fishing and play poker. Disappointing, but not a total washout.

Hmm... if I were on a ship ful of naked old women, I guess one can hope that some of them would take a liking to me and fix me up with their daughters.

I guess there is always a way to make lemonade out of a "lemon cruise"
