It's been a while since I posted a forum in CFI. I hope this time everyone would share encouraging words.
STATURE OF A NATURIST:
DO YOU WANT TO GET TALLER?
I can stand on stilts to get higher. I can climb a staircase to get higher. I can fly a hot air balloon to get higher. But no matter how high I climb, I will still be no taller for the effort.
Height is where I am compared to other objects. It has nothing to do with my physical stature, just with where I am. On the other hand, tallness is more about my stature.
Not much I can do about my physical tallness, but there is a lot I can do about my inner tallness http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/yes.gif.
I can become a better person with a bigger heart, more confident and more secure, content with what I have and grateful for every moment I am blessed with enjoying it.
Or I can waste my time trying to climb higher, standing on top of possessions or other people. I might find the view nice up higher up. I might find the air thinner. (Don't get me wrong, I still love hiking and camping outdoor http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/eusa_dance.gif)
But whatever I find, I won't find myself physically taller. For that, I need to make myself taller inside.
How about you?

You are not alone my friend, as many persons wish for a different size or shape of physique. My brother, Ralph, is the shortest of we five brothers, and does not appreciate persons calling him "Shorty". My short brother and short friends are great in moral and intellectrual stature.
I am reasonably tall so I did not stand beside Ralph when a family picture is taken, as the contrast in height was too great. My short Italian girlfriend thinks that was very considerate of me.
Your young, healthy looking fine body in your avatar looks very commendable, and your writings on your posts are very fine. You can rightfully take pride in yourself and glorify your nude physique which you so inherited. Please cherish your body and be glad to be you, and only YOU.
Your post suggests that you have gained a good outlook, perspective about yourself.
Very best wishes.

I think that must go down as the quote of the week - just fantastic.
Is that one of the problems with the world today, wealth, GREED causing everyone to try and "standing on top of possessions or other people" = SNOBBERY - KEEPING UP WITH THE JONES'S and bug*er how it effect others - total SELFISHNESS. Doing that doesn't make us taller it makes us SMALLER.
I am sure the Buddhists would agree and also that is possible that this is the the reason for the rise of Islamic fundamental terrorism . I think that Muslims fear that western luxurious life will draw people away from religious observance.
Heres cheers to the simple life in the NUDE. (although I don't think the Islamics would approve).

Laudable comments, however I must point out that if you do a stint on the ISS (the space station) you do indeed return taller... Get rid of that dang gravity and the body responds! http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/eusa_dance.gif

I have to point out that typos, misspellings and/or things slipping past a proofreading, which can happen to anyone, can be humorous. Bikerboy, I believe, has found an ally, not an alley.
There is a saying about categories of people that I don't fully remember how it's worded; I don't think it starts with 'small' people talk about people, because then 'medium' and 'big' people don't work.
But one class of people talks about people, a second class talks about things and a third class talks about ideas.
Welcome to my alley.

Thank you for pointing that out. I missed it somehow, and will fix that now. You are indeed right as it is supposed to read Ally, and not a dirty side road alley. LOL

I have an idea. Let's get some people together and talk about things. You up for that alfredr? http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif (Yeah, I know that dosen't quite fit with what you were getting at with your statement but it's been a long day).
Question: short people who project arrogant, assertive confidence (among other traits) are said to exhibit a Napoleonic complex. What is the "complex"
called when the same characteristics are exhibited by a tall person?
