Not in the city itself -- unless there are private get-togethers that aren't really open events. With 10 million people in NYC, there are certain to be some private nudist cliques. There was one restaurant that had a "nude dining night" but I haven't heard much about that of late.
However, there are clubs - one is in Wantaugh LI - the Long Island Travasuns. Another group - Tri-State Sun Club, holds monthly swims in Bergen County, NJ.
There are some nudist sites over in New Jersey - some landed clubs -- Sky Farm, Rock Lodge, Goodland .... check out the AANR page
http://www.aanr.com/stateclubs/aanr-nj.html (http://www.aanr.com/stateclubs/aanr-nj.html
)
If you're in Stamford, CT, you might give some consideration to visiting Berkshire Vista in Massachusetts, or one of the two Connecticut venues -- Solair and Sun Ridge.
There also was a group called Garden of Eden which held get-togethers in the Hartford area but I am not familiar with their operation in these days.

Jason,
As I've said before, sometimes web pages don't tell the whole story.
GoE is a club that has had an off-and-on operation in recent years. Around three years ago, they lost their gathering place. They used to hold swims in the Hartford, Connecticut area. Their home page indicates the "Next Event:" in Springfield, Massachusetts, in March 2004.
And we did write to them via e-mail (they have no phone contact) and our inquiry was not answered.
At one time, they had two different web pages with two different sets of information.
So whether they are in actual operation or on hiatus, no one can say. As you're aware, a web page can exist and persist long after its info is obsolete.
I don't know about the GoE club, but there have been cases of clubs continuing to exist on paper -- and their members still carrying AANR and/or TNS cards issued by the club, but the club ceases to exist in terms of being a group with scheduled social events.
I am a member of such a group that has several social events each winter, but for lengthy periods in the 1960s and 1970s, the club existed as a conduit to provide ASA / AANR memberships and had no events.
If anyone in here is in Connecticut -- and this is why I think an "Events in Your Area" forum should be added to these boards, I'd like to know whether Garden of Eden is still running, too.

I've written to their E-mail. If they don't reply I make the assumption that they either don't have any events, or they're not interested in new members.
In any event, there are also two other groups running in that area -- Sunchasers in Ludlow, MA, which is part of the Springfield area , and I know it to be active, and Solair, which now has some events for members year round.
There obviously was an intersection of members in the three clubs.
I really am not interested in going 100 miles down there for a Saturday swim, so I am not going to bother them, but I will monitor their web pages.
But if someone from Hartford/Springfield can fill us in on what is going on, please do so.

Hi TIA,
Sure. For CODiners (Clothing Optional Diners) you need to go to CODiners.com - John Ordover runs the one in NY.
For Pool Socials: In Long Island. Travasuns.com
5/6 will the the last pool social for this year.
In Paramus-NJ: People from Travasuns will tell you exactly how to get there.
RESORTS: The closest to NYC are: Juniper Woods
(Athens, NY) and Rock Lodge (Stokholm, NJ).
Resorts I recommend: Solair / CT, Sunny Rest / PA

Yes. In NYC itself. I attended one of the CODiners events; it took place at the Mercantile Grill (Wall street area)
<Goodland >
In Goodland (Hackestown, NJ) you only find people over 60 y/o. No place to buy food. Is the most boring nude club I ever visited.
<Berkshire Vista in Massachusetts, >
One of the best.
<Solair >
Lovely people there.
<There also was a group called Garden of Eden >
Not anymore.

There is a group that has clothing optional dinners and smaller parties in and around NYC.
Sherry,
I will always remember the visit from the Marines to the CODiner. :-)))

No, I didn't. The place is too far from my home.
