SNOW DAY!
We're home under a Level 3 snow emergency. Only Emergency and public safety use of the roads - police will cite or arrest people who don't need to be out.

It's time to move to Oswego, NY where by this time tomorrow, there will be over 13 feet of snow. Snow showers and flurries will continue this week and so it will just keep piling up! This year, all of this snow will not entirely melt until June or July!!!

You all can keep your snow and cold weather. I'll just stay here in my balmy, partly-cloudy, 27F weather.

Our nites have been in the upper 30' or low 40's so I have been shutting the heat off at bedtime and turning it on when I get up. House stays around 68-70 and I will see how it affects my power bill.

Sanlines, thanks for the employment oppurtunity. Regretfully I must decline as I am over qualified for the position. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/laugh.gif

I agree w/ Al... Not much snow here today, but a bit of ice. Also over qualified for that position in NY. Have to keep my fingers warm and limber. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif

20's & 30's sounds like a heat wave to me right now, tonight in the single digitd (like around 6*, no not wind chills, actual temps) not to mention the 14 inches of snow & ICE we got. cant wait to strangle that d**med groundhog!!!

It didn't get above Zero here today. The coldest Valentines Day in around 30 years.
but on the bright side, We have less than 6 inches of snow on the ground.
I hope the next 4 weeks bring us some snow so we have some subsoil moisture to start the growing season with.

Valentines Day was dry and sunny here in N.Wales, but was certainly not weather to be outside nude.

It was above freezing most of the day here in Spokane Wa. But what had been rain when I was driving home from work at 5 PM turned to snow by 7 PM. Not much only an inch or two and that should melt by tomorrow. Weather man forcasts it getting up to 50 F on Saturday as long as there is some sunshine I really don't care. I am ready for spring but as long as the temp is going to be in the 30's I'd really prefer snow.

In the spirit of community service and to gain a deeper appreciation of the climates that you live in, each and every one of you from the warmer climes should spend a week or so up here in the norther latitudes helping your fellow Americans dig out from this blizzard. Any volunteers???
Now for my weather report:
This morning:
-4F
24 new inches of snow
gusty winds causing wind chill factors of -20F
Very invigorating to be outdoors this morning to say the least.........

http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/cool4.gif I used to like the winter when I lived in New York and Alaska. But, now that I've found the joys of nudity I prefer the warmer weather. We have it here most of the year.

Its 52 F on Vancouver Island but quite breezy and its too cold to get out on deck - if it was sunny and not windy I would be out on deck with this temperature as deck is quite sheltered.

http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/cool4.gif From the way the temperature has been fluctuating, I think the hot air has a LOT to do with the politicions Campaigning so early!!!
