Add me and mine to that list....Everyone in our lives know, family, bosses, co-workers, boyfriends, girlfriends, and neighbors all know that we are proud nudists. Nothing to hide.

Well, I wish I could say the same for me. But it is just not the case as none of my family,co-workers,friends,or neighbors know of my lifestyle as a nudist. But I will add I am darn proud to identify myself as a nudist on this forum.

Hmmm ... what does it really mean to be proud?

Often-times pride seems to be a way to take credit for someone else's acheivement, or to take credit for your own good fortune.

It is well and good to take joy in the accomplishments of others, but is it hubris if pride expands to the point of taking credit? I take great joy - pride if you please - in my niece's nearly 4.0 average in college, but I can't claim any credit.

I am very happy and thankful to be an American, but I did nothing to deserve it other than to pick parents who were also Americans. If anything, I feel a responsibility to do well by my country, especially in times when so many others are not - If this is pride, it is necessarily a very humble sort of pride.

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment that we should be Proud to be nudists, I'm just not sure exactly what that means. Certainly I feel joyful and fortunate.

I'm with you Mark. Except, unlike Ohio I'm more "o"round in the middle than on the ends.

Being proud of some worthy achievment or embracing values of merit is IMHO justifiable pride. Choosing to be Nudist/Naturist seem to fit into that.

I know what you mean RCH44.... My family are NOT in the closet type nudists. We're proud and willing tell people that we're nudists. ..and we invite them to join us, either at our home, at a club, in the pool, etc. They know its a wholeome family type thing and though not a lot have join in, several have.
