i dont hide it from anyone,,i cant really because i do The Naked Monday Show on WWW.WBZB.COM (http://WWW.WBZB.COM) everymonday morning from 7 to 10 am..sorry for the shameless plug there..lol but since i am a public figure in media its hard to hide it from anyone. plus with the nekkid monday band touring alot and getting national press i cant hide..lol but i know thats rare for most nudists ,,most do like their aneminity , or what ever that word is lol! im lucky in the fact i can hopefully bring it into a more mainstream light..so theres my 2 cents...later shane

Many of my close friends know, but none of my family. If I visit a resort next summer in the islands I may fess up. I alwsys remember to not impose nudity on friends.

I haven't told anyone yet for a couple of reasons. It hasn't come up in conversation, I have had no reason to tell them, I tend to keep parts of my life separate. My home life is separate from my work and was different from my college life.
I had separate sets of friends at college, in fact on two occasions, a member of one group was soap-opera fueding with another person from another group. (soap-opera feud-melodramatics and stupidity).
So the only real-life people who know I am a nudist are other nudists whom I have met. I don't necessarily keep it a secret, I am just picky about keeping my separate lives separate.

This is a popular question, as seen in the thread started by Duneman on this same BB. My wife and I do not try to hide our nudism from anyone but we do not wave a flag about it. Our children and thier spouses know as well as some other friends family and neighbors, and of course everybody at our nudist club LOL.

We are in the same boat as butnaked. Our grown children know as well as the son in law. Our neighbors know because they've looked over the wall and seen us. My co-workers know but my wife's do not.
We have both textile and nudist friends. We haven't mixed the two groups. It wouldn't bother me but my wife is not ready for someone else to tell our textile friends we are nudists.
We frequent a nude beach and a couple of resorts. It's only a matter of time before we run into someone we know. If not, we've met some really nice people that are now close nudist friends, too bad they live so far away. /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

We do not hide our nudist life,In that if the conversations comes up we tell people, but don,t go out of the way to bring up the topic, example. like when going on a cruise or to a resort, Never had negative comments, just "I could never go nude in front of others" or wish "I was brave enough to try."

I gather from the way this poll is going that there are a lot of single people who took the poll. That's interesting, in itself.

All my friends and close family knows, even if they don't choose to participate. I can't imagine my wife ever bringing it up so I doubt if many of her friends know.
It would be a difficult secret to hide when one's license plate read "I NUDIST" for several years!
Got laid off a few years back and decided that the personalized plate was just too damned expensive to keep renewing every year. CA really soaks us for such things. Sigh! Maybe again someday when I get rich....
Dream on, Aunaturelone. I'm going to buy my own nudist resort when I win the lottery! Of course, if I win the lottery, I'll probably die from the shock! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I grew up in Michigan as a kid, between Clare and Gladwin. Lived on 80 acres of mosquito infested forest and overgrown fields and many square miles of national forest with empty lakes nearby. A river ran through it. A very lonely existance. I did like going nude when out of eyeshot of the house.
Back then, that was way out in the boonies. Still pretty isolated but not like it used to be.
I was born and raised in Michigan, and I've never heard of Clare or Gladwin, but then I'm sure there are a lot of places of which I've never heard.

Those towns are north of us. I have done some traveling in Michigan and have been to both of them. Seems the towns up north are more laid back than around here.
Anyway, only a few people know that I love being nude most of the time.
Mel,
I'm almost as far south in Michigan as I can get, so nearly everything in Michigan is north of me.

The first time we went to a nude club, I told several friends at work, and got mixed reactions. When we joined a landed club and embraced nude recreation, we told very few people. Our kids and family will probably be the last to know. We have always gone camping. We don't lie, we say we are going to a private campground on the lake. We don't advertise that it is c/o, but if they asked or found our scrap book of nude recreation pics, we'd tell them. Both of our occupations could be hurt by public knowledge of our nudism. I know there are laws against the discrimination, but it still would be an issue.

Everyone knows. Doesn't mean I would actually be nude in front of all these people, but they know.
We had the neighbors over today and they have a kid who is 5. Apparently, he won't keep his clothes on when he's in the house. At which point, my Mom says they couldn't keep me in clothes when I was a kid, because I was perpetually overheated. So, somewhere between being in my single digits till I was 20 I went terribly awry.
Now there are a lot of friendly Christians on here, so I don't mean to offend. But I think my Catholic upbringing did something to me that was bad. I was afraid of my own shadow, let alone my body. And I think that's why I'm so shy about being a nudist.
But, I was emailing a friend about it yesterday and I mentioned that I always enjoyed being naked and I put it at 13 that I enjoyed it but found myself to be weird for it. Well, apparently, I was into it long before self-consciousness set in. This is why no one terribly close to me knows, but a few of my peripheral friends know.

I just let another of my best friends (& his girlfriend.) know that I am an at-home nudist. Now that his girl friend knows, most of the people I know will eventually know! (She does "talk".) I really don't care. It's my life & I don't see that how I dress or don't dress in the privacy of my home is harmful to anyone!
